Please limit disturbance to the great extent possible. Also, if there is disturbed sediment that could runoff to the wetland, please install a silt sock along its edge until the area is re-stabilized. Below is a conversation I had with Claire and wanted your input on it. Please let me know what you think. If the grassy area between the chain linked fence and the wetland is disturbed to the point of destabilizing the vegetation and soil, my recommendation would be to hydroseed with a native wildflower or conservation seed mix once you demobilize in order to stabilize the area. No grass seed should be applied in that area. Still, I would suggest you reach out to the Conservation Commission Agent, Kelly Grant, to confirm that she would agree with that recommendation under the existing Order of Conditions. I’m not sure if Town Hall is open, so try her email if you can’t get through on the phone at KGrant@yarmouth.ma.us. Thank you and hope all is well, Claire Based on the collective Emergency Orders issued by the Governors of MA, RI, and NH, LEC staff are working remotely th until Monday, May 4 (noon) and will conduct field work related to Essential Services implementing federal, state, & local health and safety guidelines. It seems the most logical way to handle this job is to enter the back yard along the right side of the house and the double gate in the chain link fence at the right rear. This means that we would be driving equipment across the existing grassy area on the wetland side of the chain link fence. Are we responsible for restoring the grassy area? With grass? Or letting it go back to natural soil where we have disturbed? Would appreciate any input.
