Hi Robert
Brad from the building dept. forwarded me your email. You will need to file a permit request with the Conservation
Commission for the shed rebuild as it is within the area jurisdictional under the wetland protection regulations.
An 8x10 shed was approved on the property per the attached documentation. Because of the location of the shed you
will not likely receive approval to increase the size of the shed. It will also need to be anchored as it is within the flood
zone. I am happy to come out and take a look at the property to advise you of the level of permitting required.

Hi Brad,
My wife called me and said you had stopped by regarding our shed. I tried to call you but the message said to
email. I apologize but I didn't think I needed to get a permit to repair the old shed that was severely damaged in
the tornado that came through. I used as much of the base from the old shed including the floor joists and deck
boards that was not destroyed by dry rot, termites and the impact of the trees. The old shed was 9x11 and I did
add 1 ft to each dimension simply because the the next closest size of pressure treated was 10 ft and 12 ft
length. I cut away part of the rotten floor boards and floor joists from the front and side that had most of the
damage. I don't have any photos of the old shed other than the a few with the trees that came down on it its hard
1
to see the shed through them but it is there. I do have a picture of the new base showing use of the old shed
floor. I will attach. I apologize again and if you could please advise on the next steps on how I can get the
permits for repairing/rebuilding shed.
