HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE Engineering QuestionHi Chris,
I think that this is a discussion you should have with Mr. Wilcox.
Regardless of who the engineer is, the regulations are the same as far as the town is concerned.
I do not know the scope of the work to make a determination if the engineer will be required from a building department perspective except for perhaps an as built at the end.
Thank you,
Mark

Good afternoon,
I have recently purchased land at 8 Jannor Way in West Yarmouth. The property has an Order of Conditions and Conservation permitting in place but we intend to amend the structure that
was designed by the last owner.
The project was engineered by Sweetser Engineering / Robin Wilcox. I have had multiple discussions with Robin prior to the purchase but recently he had told me that he would be retiring
this spring.
My question is whether I would be advised to try and have Mr. Wilcox modify and resubmit his plot and septic plans before his retirement or begin with a new engineer so that they will
active throughout the construction process, which would not begin for at least another year. I am not sure if the engineer needs to be involved once the initial plan has been approved.
Thank you for your time,
Chris May
