Brandolini, Deputy Builder Commissioner From: Matt Wake, Owner,Wake Marine Inc.,Wake Enterprises, Inc. Re: History of Occupancy and Usage of 80 Mid Tech Drive,West Yarmouth, MA 02673 80 Mid Tech was built by Tom Williamson and his company,A&E Forms, later known as Mid Tech Condos, Inc. Barry Sturgis was one of the first tenants at 80 Mid Tech and rented the space to build and repair sails initially in about 1989. A few years later he started to sell small sailboats, parts and equipment to supplement his sailmaking business. He occupied the space designated for mailing purposes as#10. However, it seems that there were never more than 6 actual units. I purchased North Sails Cape Cod and Sturgis Boat Works in 2001 and continued operating and growing the business using those names as DBA's. A few years later, the unit adjacent to mine became available and I rented it to increase my warehousing and show room capacity. That space had initially been a cabinet maker and then a timeshare sails and call center with a large warehouse and storage loft. Around 2013 the unit adjacent to that one became available. This had been occupied for years by Tony Prizzi and his company, Undercover Tent and Rentals. After that it had been alternately a garage and warehouse for Rise Electric and a dog trainer for a short time. These bays have been used for warehousing and work space since I took them over, which is largely how they have been used in the past. Sturgis Boat Works and North Sails Cape Cod (DBA's of Wake Marine, Inc.) have utilized the space primarily as warehousing, storage and garage space, doing at least 80%of all our business out of state. At the end of December, 2019 I will be selling most of my business to Patricia and Brian Leaver and their company, US One Design. This company will largely continue operating in the same way as Sturgis Boat Works and North Sails, which has operated continuously on the premises since 1989. The major difference being that US One Design is more focused on internet driven sales. I am now seeking an occupancy permit for my new company,Wake Enterprises, Inc., DBA Tactical Racks and DBA Fareast USA. We plan to sublet a small space from US One Design, which I have defined on drawings for Mr. Brandolini. This space will be used for light production of our storage and trailer racks and for rigging and preparing for delivery Fareast boats. I will be primarily working from my home office in Centerville, the space on Mid Tech drive will be used for as described above. US One Design will be independently seeking an occupancy permit. ;a -• .. _ -.;.:. ::tee - :,•,.;i•z.. ,•_ • ./' .
