Subject: RE: Complaint on Condition of Residential Property
Hi Mary Alice,
Brad has just informed me that there are no violations regarding the placement of the boat.
The hoop house was supposed to come down and be replaced by shed.
Eyesores are not enforceable.
If more boats arrive, we can revisit the issue.

To further explain the situation we fully realize that we live in a seaside community and as such there boats stored on the property over the winter months.
What be comes problematic is (5) boats being stored on the property and the property being used more as a boatyard with washings and chemicals being applied with a slope going back into
the wetlands for all the chemicals.
As a seaside community protections should be in place to protect these wetlands.
We did have a meeting in February with all the residents and we were assured that all the problems would be resolved by May 1st.
Nothing has been done.
As the lot is in direct view from our dining room, I can confirm that the water tank within the protected wetlands area was not there last week and the property is still an eyesore.
I would like to schedule a time where Mary and I can meet with you to discuss this situation.
Please suggest a time where we can meet.

Thank you for stopping by.
It appears that dumping is still occurring with hot water tanks and toilets being dumped marsh side.
How can these issues be addressed ?

Hi Kevin,
Since I live nearby I walked by your property this morning. You certainly have a beautiful home so I understand your concerns.
As summer approaches, with foliage filling in, I suspect some visual buffering will take place.
You should understand that we live in a seaside community and that property owners often temporarily store their watercraft and related materials and equipment on their property. In
most situations there is not an issue. We hope that neighbors can resolve any concerns amicably.
Once the Town is asked to respond to a complaint I'm sure you understand the animosity that may result.
I think our building department should best respond at this time. I'm sure they will address any safety or health issues.?
My comments are my own, not to be construed as a position of the Town or the Selectboard as a whole. I hope any issues are resolved to your satisfaction.
Sincerely,
Norman Holcomb, Selectman

Good Morning:
I am pleased to say that my Wife and I retired and moved to 34 Lookout Road (3) years and enjoy living with the community and have found the city services and employees great to work
with.
During this three year period we have invested heavily in improving our property while pulling permits for all work performed.
During this time period we have watched our neighbors property (38 Lookout) turn into a boat storage yard featuring toilets, and metal trash thrown about the yard.
This property also features a non-permitted "Hoop Structure" that has fallen down and is currently a health hazard as well as a safety hazard.
I am working through the process with the inspection department, but I would welcome the opportunity for you to visit our property so I can show you what we are dealing with from our
perspective.
If you could contact me it would be most appreciated.
