Ms. Kelly Grant Conservation Administrative Town of Yarmouth, MA I am writing in support of the Great Island Ocean Club Homeowners Association’s (GIOC’s) petition to enable the Association to rake the complete length of its beach on Nantucket Sound. The beach at GIOC is owned by the 66 members of the Great Island Ocean Club Homeowners Association. All 66 members, as well as 9 non-Association homeowners, have deeded beach rights and enjoy the use of this beautiful natural resource. Cleaning the broken shells and decaying plant matter out of the sand will enhance the peaceful enjoyment of nature. We agree to not disrupt dune-growing plant life and to rake in accordance with Conservation Commission guidance. We have always had Audubon on the beach to supervise raking sessions, and that will continue if we are granted this approval. Thank you, James and Yvonne McFarland 14 Television Lane West Yarmouth, Ma 978-239-6608 1
