The applicant agrees to extend the time frame within which a determination is to be made as required by the Old King's Highway Regional Historic District Act. I was wondering what the objection was to the 3 post rail I submitted? My contractor felt that design would work fine. He was concerned that adding two more posts would have different spacing between the top and on the angle section on the steps. I also think from an esthetic point, the three posts would have the least impact on the appearance of our house. Just a simple handrail in black. l'm attaching some photos of other rails he's done as examples of somewhat similar post and handrail designs.
