Re: 14 Angus Avenue, South Yarmouth, MA
Ms. Grant,
Attached are site photographs of the undeveloped property located to the West of 14 Angus Avenue is
South Yarmouth. This property is located on the other side of Angus Avenue from Pole #2, at 14 Angus
Avenue. A narrow pathway was cleared from Angus Avenue, west into the subject dense vegetation of
the wooded property, approximately 35’ to the West of Angus Avenue. A test hole (Test Hole #1) was
dug within the wooded property, approximately 50’ from the Northwest corner of 14 Angus Avenue. A
blue flag was set in the field at Test Hole #1. This test hole was dug during the growing season, end of
Summer, during full leaf out conditions. A wooden board was placed over the top of the test hole.
Test Hole #1
Dug to a depth of 37 inches below the land surface. Existing soils are fine sandy loams, aerated soils, no
groundwater was observed to a depth of 37 inches. No hydric soils were observed within 24 inches
below the existing land surface. The existing soils are classified as upland (non-wetland) soils. Existing
vegetation within the vegetative community includes a dense population of tall Japanese Bamboo and
Japanese Knotweed. Other vegetation includes White Oak, Black Locust, Red Maple, Porcelien Berry,
Wisteria, and Green Briars. Test Hole #1 was observed in the field by Keith E. Fernandes, P.E., GFM
Enterprises, Inc.
Topography increases in elevation to the West of Test Hole #1, off property, towards the upland area of
land associated with the KIA car dealership, off Route 28.
