We will need to let the sand sit for an overnight. We will decrease the area that we are using as instructed per
your email and fully enclose the area with silt fence and waddles. I will send you pictures early Friday am once
it is completed. I understand to avoid as much vegetation and will do as instructed.

Paul and Lee

Hi Matt/Paul
Paul and I met onsite this morning. His proposed methodology differs a bit from what was approved in
the Notice on Intent and plan. It was our understanding that the sediment will be transferred directly
from the barge where it is dewatered, to the vehicles that will transport it off site. This corresponds
with the narrative and plans that show the access path and equipment platform. Paul is instead
planning to stage material on the dune area before it is removed from site. This will create a larger area
of disturbance.
If it is possible to transfer directly from the barge to the removal vehicles that should be the method
used. If it is not possible to achieve sufficient water removal using this method then an interim stockpile
area can be used but it should be reduced from what is currently staked in the field to exclude the more
established vegetation. There should also be a sediment control line along the seaward side of this
area. Please note this is not a dewatering area. The sediment should be substantially dewatered by this
point.
I can come back out later in the week if needed.
Thanks
Kelly
