To whom it may concern,
I have received the notice from the town regarding the residents at 51 Park Ave, West
Yarmouth seeking a special permit to raze and replace a pre-existing dwelling with a new one.
As a long time resident and an abutter to this property I object to this petition. Hyannis Park
has always been a quiet and quintessential Cape Cod neighborhood. It has never been the type
of neighborhood where the homes are torn down and rebuilt and as a resident I would like to
keep it that way. Because of recent home sales our neighborhood is growing. Park Ave is now
a cut through street and I fear for the environmental health of our little neighborhood. The
beach is eroding and there was more trash on it than ever this past summer. The tearing down
and rebuilding of an existing home would be detrimental to the neighborhood.
I would not object to any improvements/renovations made to the existing structure.
