Hi Bain
My apologies, I thought you were planning to prune the trees rather than remove them. If you are looking to remove
them, I suggest filing a Request for Determination of Applicability with the Commission. They will either require
replanting of trees or protection of the area to allow saplings to become established. Here is a link to the RDA forms
(scroll down the page to the Request for Determination of Applicability section). You can use a sketch plan to show the
location of the trees.

Hi Kelly,
Could we discuss this further at a convenient time for you? I’m very concerned about the risk these trees we’ve been
discussing pose to our home. They are substantially overhanging our roof, and the roof desperately needs to be re-
shingled. It seems like complete folly to spend any money on our roof given the risk these trees pose to our house and
roof. Two winters ago my mother’s car was totaled by a tree that came down in our driveway. We would be happy to
consider planting some new trees to replace these (shorter ones!), although I would point out that there are new trees
springing up every year on our property.
Let me know what might be a convenient time to discuss.

Let me know if the explanation on the form is readable, it seemed that the text did not adjust to each line in the area for
description of the project.
It should read as follows:
There are three Pine trees and two Locust trees that overhang the roof of our home on the south side of the house. The
roof on the south side of the house is in poor condition (rotting) due to age and the constant debris falling from the
trees. The roof is also leaking and needs to be replaced. I will tag the trees and let you know so you can go and inspect
the property. Let me know if you need any additional information.
I’ve reached out to Bob Perry about the outstanding order of conditions, he is going to review and het back to me.
