It is an intermittent stream. Only connects during high water seasonally. It is man made in association with the
bog (Powers Bog) south of Buck Island. Not sure if it has been maintained.

Hi Karl
Off the top of your head are you familiar with this connection between Horse Pond and Big Sandy Pond? We are trying
to determine whether it is an intermittent or perennial stream for a Notice of Intent. USGS names it perennial but the
applicant states its intermittent. It is fairly dry still and I wondered if this is because pond levels have not recovered
enough after the drought for flow to reestablish. There appears to be only a small elevation drop between the two
ponds.
