ISSUANCE OF A FILE NUMBER INDICATES ONLY COMPLETENESS OF SUBMITTAL, NOT
APPROVAL OF APPLICATION
Although a file # is being issued, please note the following:
The applicant is not proposing planting or seeding within Bordering Vegetated Wetlands. The work area
within BVW should be monitored for compliance with 310 CMR 10.55(4)(b)2. "the ground water and
surface elevation of the replacement area shall be approximately equal to that of the lost area;" and 310
CMR 10.55(4)(b)6. "at least 75% of the surface of the replacement area shall be reestablished with
indigenous wetland plant species within two growing seasons..." and planting and seeding should occur if
this performance standard is not met.
General Condition 17 of the Order of Conditions states, "Prior to the start of work, and if the project
involves work adjacent to a Bordering Vegetated Wetland, the boundary of the wetland in the vicinity of the
proposed work area shall be marked by wooden stakes or flagging. Once in place, the wetland boundary

markers shall be maintained until a Certificate of Compliance has been issued by the Conservation
Commission."
