Here is the Building Permit Sign off form for your contractor to complete when you are ready. You will need to provide a sketch plan of the location with details of height and dimensions. https://www.yarmouth.ma.us/DocumentCenter/View/13308/Building-Permit-Sign-off-Transmittal-Sheet Thanks Kelly Grant Conservation Administrator Town of Yarmouth 508-398-2231 Ext 1288 kgrant@yarmouth.ma.us From: Harald Prokop \[mailto:harald@prkp.com\] Sent: Monday, August 30, 2021 10:50 AM To: Grant, Kelly <KGrant@yarmouth.ma.us> Subject: Heat pump at 41 Powers Ln Attention! We are planning to replace the existing heading/cooling system with a heat pump to use our solar panels through the year. I just spoke with Heidi and she suggested I follow-up in email. I’m available by cell at 617-642-2022. We currently have a gas furnace for heat and a side vented condenser unit mounted under that house. It seems that the high-efficiency heat pumps all vent upwards and would need to be placed at the side of the house. I’m looking for guidance on both process and placement for this. We are pretty flexible on location. My understanding is that the building code requires the unit to be placed above the flood plane and the amount of work is smaller if we can find a spot close to where the current unit is placed. The HVAC contractor recommended that we have a carpenter built a platform at the side of the house. 1 Attached are two photos of the corner of the house where the current unit is mounted with markups in purple of the rough location of the current unit. I also attached a survey we had made when we bought the property. Please let me know what the best next steps are on this. Thank you, -Harald — Harald Prokop 41 Powers Ln, West Yarmouth, MA Cell 617-642-2022 Email harald@prkp.com 2
