Hello Kelly, please see the attached plan for #27. Additional notes and items requested from the last hearing added in.
As the slopes are a 3:1 we are proposing grass / seed mix to stabilize the banks. Pilings are required by FEMA and the
building department for building within the VE zone. This site is an AE zone and that allows regular walls to be
constructed as long as they are flood zone compliant. As the typical age of the people living in these homes is older a set
of stairs to get up into the first floor would be extremely difficult. Carrying 10 trips of Groceries from the car is extremely
onerous and while required in certain locations it is not required at this location based on current regulations. We can
only request the commission would agree to this as pilings would total eliminate “aging in place”
