It would have been nice if they rectified the issue, or at least shared the letter with us, before we purchased the property in December. Oh well! Yesterday I was able to remove the firepit and move the adirondack chairs back off of the town property section. I'll definitely create a no-mow area on that side of the line to allow the vegetation to grow back. See the attached pictures. So sorry that it has taken this long to resolve this issue. Regarding the tree removal - Thank you for the approval to remove the two snapped off trees. However, those are both on our neighbors property - so it would be up to him to remove them. Also, thank you for the approval to prune back the trees overhanging the house. Just to clarify - Is it also ok to prune back the trees encroaching on our neighbors' side. Or you're saying that's not allowed either? To be honest, I'm a bit surprised that we weren't approved to have these problematic trees removed. Since I'm new to the area, can you help me understand the rules that would prevent the owner from removing trees on their property - not within the buffer zone? Thanks so much! I have a question about removing trees from our property. We have two large pine trees and two smaller trees on our property that we'd like to remove. One pine tree is all twisted and an eye sore from when the tornado came through a couple years ago. The other pine tree is dropping tons of pine cones into our neighbor's yard and they have complained to us about it. The smaller trees are also encroaching on our neighbors property and are also causing moss, molding, and access for animals to climb on our roof. Do I need to get permission to remove these? Thanks so much! Ralph Thompson 2
