I've attached photos as you suggested. Please note the markers on each side, they mark the top of the bank which was cut out and never restored thus the stairs were built over the bank into the water. I understand the town regrettably allowed a structure in the conservation buffer zone but don't believe they ever meant for it to extend into the actual pond. The stairway should end on solid ground. It was my understanding the bank was to be restored. My concern is the conservation of the fragile ecosystem of Perch Pond. Please let me know what you think and when we can discuss this further.
