Hello Kelly, We did an RDA on this site back in 2016 to add a porch on the seaward facing side of the house and received approval from the Conservation Commission. Mr and Mrs. Gazzolo have a first and second story deck on the north side of the property and would like to put a kitchen pantry / storage area within the limits of those two decks. The proposed work will maintain the existing sono tubes and the area basically infilled. A first floor deck access / stairway will be removed as part of the work. Please see the attached plan, sketches and photo. With regards to the existing stairs I noticed on our 2016 filing that those stairs were not depicted on the plan. I can only guess that as we all focused on the other side of the house they were missed. I have attached a copy of a recent photo, A 2010 google image (earliest of any clarity) and the original field notes from BSC back in 2001 when a refinance occurred for Mr. and Mrs. Gazzolo. A this time I am looking to find out if this would be an RDA or administrative approval as the only ground work would be the removal of the two posts at the bottom of the first floor stairs. You can see from the photo where the deck existing on both floors above and below the proposed kitchen pantry. I will be out of the office after Thursday for a few weeks so I have included Matt in this correspondence to keep it moving forward. Regards 1 Kieran J.
