HI Christine, that is correct. There is nothing further you need to do. I will add this email to the file for the record.

Kelly, thanks for the email and the link.
What I am specifically looking for is agreement to our understanding for SE83-2041 for the property at 66A River Street.
This permit was due to expire on 12/21/21. Based on the guidance for Order 42 out understanding is:
The permit had 651 days remaining (3/10/20 – 12/21/21)
The new expiration date would be 3/28/23 (based on adding 651 days to 6/15/21 when the Emergency Order
was lifted).
Can you confirm that date with me? Is there anything else specific we need to do to have that new date updated on the
records.
Thanks again for all your help.
Thanks
Christine

Hi Christine
The guidance at this link makes it pretty clear and gives examples for each scenario. https://www.mass.gov/doc/joint-

Hi Kelly, I hope this email finds you well and want to apologize ahead of time for reaching out via email; I just know how
busy everyone is and thought that sending all the info in this form would enable you to review at your convenience and
for us to track at our end.
We are, as most people are I presume, grappling with how to interpret and apply the State’s Order 42 with regards to
the OOCs that were active during the Emergency Order. I have found that it is most helpful to seek the guidance of each
town when we have a specific instance that we can refer to.
There are two different situations with regards to Order 42:
• If the OOC expired during the Emergency Order (between 3/10/20 and 6/15/21)
• If the OOC is still valid when the Emergency Order was lifted on 6/15/21
The second situation (when a permit was still valid during the Governor’s Emergency Order) is the situation I am
requesting guidance on for order above (SE83-2041) for the property at 66A River Street.
This permit was due to expire on 12/21/21. Based on our understanding of Order 42, this permit had 651 days remaining
once the Governor’s Emergency Order went into effect (3/10/20 – 12/21/21), therefore, the new expiration date would
2
be 3/28/23 (based on adding 651 days to 6/15/21 when the Emergency Order was lifted). Can you confirm that date
with me?
Also, is there anything further you would need from us to ensure that new date is listed in the files? Kelly, thank you for
taking the time to assist us in understanding what we should be telling clients.
Thanks
Christine
