Re: Proposed Zoning Map Amendments
Dear Property Owner:
The Yarmouth Planning Board is proposing to modify the Zoning District for property that abuts,or
is located across the street from property you own in the Town of Yarmouth.
The parcel is located behind 125 Route 6a and contains the parking area for the existing business
along Route 6a(formerly Dennis Partners,currently vacant). The two parcels serving this business
have mixed zoning with B1 business along Route 6a and residential in the parking area in the rear.
This amendment would rezone the parcel in the rear to the B1 business district to foster redevelopment
by eliminating the complications associated with developing under mixed zoning.
The Planning Board would like to invite you to the Public Hearing scheduled for September 15,
2021 at 5:30 PM in the downstairs Hearing Room at Yarmouth Town Hall,1146 Route 28,South
Yarmouth,MA. If you are unable to attend but would like to comment,please direct your written
comments to the Planning Board at the address above,or to kwilliams@yarmouth.ma.us. These
amendments are currently under consideration for the 2021 Special Town Meeting Warrant,
scheduled for Tuesday October 26th. Further information on proposed zoning amendments can be
found on the Town Website at https://www.varmouth.ma.us/1966/2021-STM-Draft-Zoning-Articles
