Per the regulations:
If a project has been completed in accordance with plans stamped by a registered professional engineer, architect,
landscape architect or land surveyor, a written statement by such a professional person certifying substantial compliance
with the plans and setting forth what deviation, if any, exists from the plans approved in the Order shall accompany the
request for a Certificate of Compliance.
It does not need to be the same person.

Good afternoon.
We have retained Fraser Construction to do some work on our house at 18 Roads
End, South Yarmouth. One of the projects was to replace our deck with some
modifications.
I understand we need a certified plot plan for this and we have hired the Sweetser
Firm. We recently learned that there are some ‘open permits’ on this property for

work performed in 1976 and 1983 respectively. I believe to close these open
permits out we need a letter from an engineer indicating that these projects were
‘built as planned’. I asked the Sweetser Firm if they perform this work as well and I
was informed that only the original engineer can write this letter. The original
engineer was Eldridge Engineering of South Yarmouth. Eldridge Engineer does not
appear to be in business at this time. Please advise on my next seps to have this
matter resolved. Thank you.
