United is installing the two stairs at the east/west ends of Area C, as well as the outriggers for the sun shades on the C south façade. 2. Colony has commenced framing of interior walls on the first floor of Area D, is completing the 2nd floor, and continuing to work on framing exterior walls at C, behind the misc, metals outrigger installation by United. Colony is in the process of blocking the windows on D ahead of the sheathing installation, as well as installing sheathing and parapet insulation the north façade of D. Also, CFMF framing at exterior walls is ongoing at Area C and the C-D links. 3. Arden and Harold Bros are continuing with the overhead rough-in for Area D (see photo). 4. The roof membrane / insulation installation for Area D is substantially complete and Stanley has almost finished sheathing parapets and setting blocking, drains etc. in Area C; just waiting for materials. 5. Silver back placed the 2nd floor SOD at Area B earlier in the week, and at the time of observation was in the process of pouring/placing the level 1 SOG at the Area B gymnasium and ancillary areas, including leveling and burnishing the slab (see photos). Saw cutting joints, where needed, was scheduled for late in the day/evening on 12-02. 6. Site utility work: Eversource has been on site and “permanent temporary power” is on as of 12-01; water main installation is complete. 11. Site electrical work: Annese is setting light pole bases (see photo). 12. Lambrian has delivered curtain wall frames for the mockup. DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS · EOS discrepancies at Area D. Sheathing placement on the north side of Area D highlights an “inboard” mis- location of the EOS at the north side “bump outs,” as Ryan Dirico had pointed out to PE earlier (see photo top of p. 4). The 8” framing channels are protruding over the EOS; Commodore’s plan is to make new pour stops and fill in a concrete sliver on 3 sides of the bump-outs in order to facilitate the AVB seal at the bottom of the wall. · (From 11-24 site report): sunshade outrigger discrepancies at Area D: PE had a further discussion on this subject with the Commodore Superintendent and the Colony Foreman, and assured Colony to ignore the outriggers and just frame the ROs as dimensioned. The issue is minor and the cladding will have to accommodate it, either by notching brick jamb surround or asymmetrically notching HPCP (see photo at bottom of p. 4). The Construction trades working this day included concrete, masonry, cold- form, plumbing, electrical, and site contractors. During the visit, I spoke with representatives from Commodore Builders and the owner’s project manager. Building earthwork continues with the installation of stone and backfilling of under slab utilities in areas A and B. Concrete installation for walls and footings is substantially complete. Elevated floor slabs in areas D, C, and B have been placed. The slab-on-grade in areas D and C are completed, and final preparation for placement of the slab on grade in area B is in progress. Winter protection methods are employed with blankets covering slabs and temporary enclosures around the masonry elevator. Steel erection is substantially complete. Miscellaneous steel is ongoing with the installation of stairs and railings. The repairs to the incorrectly fabricated steel beam at the area C East stair are completed. The cold-form metal framing in area D is in progress, and the exterior sheathing is being installed along the North wall. Masonry walls at the auditorium seating are installed, and work is progressing on the Area C elevator shaft. In general, the work observed appears in conformance with standard industry practice, and there were no apparent deficiencies noted. Respectfully, Girard and Company, LLP Kenneth P.
