Subject: Scenic Road Permit Application — 176 Thacher Shore Road, Yarmouth Port
As required by the Town of Yarmouth Scenic Roadway Rules & Regulations adopted on
April 27, 2011, copies of all Scenic Road applications shall be transmitted to the
Departments or Boards listed above, for review and recommendation.
Please find attached a Scenic Road Permit Application from Rick Kelley, Yarmouth Tree
Warden, to remove a 29" diameter White Ash tree located in front of 176 Thacher Shore
Road in Yarmouth Port. Thacher Shore Road is a Scenic Road. The application
indicates that the structural integrity of the tree has been compromised due to the
destruction of the heartwood of the tree by insects. The proposal is to remove the tree
and remove or grind down the stump to below grade.
A Public Hearing has been scheduled for this application on February 3, 2016. Please
provide written comments or recommendations by January 27, 2016.
