WORK IN PROGRESS: 1) CFMF and interior partition framing 2) Drywall 3) CMU at gymnasium 4) Exterior sheathing 5) AVB installation and prep for window installation; stripping in of windows 6) Window installation 7) Fire protection overhead rough-in 8) MEP wall rough-in in Area D 9) HVAC and plumbing overhead rough-in in area C 10) Misc metals work (stair installation) 11) Preparation for part 2 of slab installation at Area B. FIELD OBSERVATIONS: PE visited the site on Thursday 02-03, to review ongoing progress. 1. Colony has substantially completed exterior wall sheathing at Area C. 2. Electrical, HVAC and plumbing installation is ongoing at interior walls in Area D. 3. At the time of observation Beacon Waterproofing was continuing to install AVB in area C. Curtain wall rough openings for Area D have now been stripped in. 4. Colony is continuing to install LGMF detailing at Area D, and has started LGMF detailing at Area C (see photo, page 3). 5. LGMF framing and HVAC and plumbing overhead rough-in is ongoing at the first and 2nd floors of Area C. 6. Installation of fire protection mains and distribution at levels 1 and 2 of Area D is ongoing; 1st floor is slightly behind second floor. 7. Lambrian is in the process of installing windows at area D; this work is approximately 20% complete. 8. At the time of observation Lymo Construction, the panel cladding subcontractor, had finished installing installed the glassfiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) panels on the mock-up and the level 2 window surround (see photo on page 2); according to CB they will be starting on Area D next week. 9. United Steel, the misc. metals subcontractor, installed the remainder of Stair B (lower flight) earlier in the week. 10. RBO is still working on finishing the installation of the final grade (crushed stone base) at Area A, both at the south part of Area A (music wing area) and at the kitchen area. Due to weather there is a push to install tarps to protect the ground in A from freezing. 11. RBO is about to resume site work for the athletic fields. 12. Masonry work at the gym is ongoing and will be for several weeks according to CB; at the time of observation the masons were approaching the top of the wall on the east side and were about to commence CMU masonry installation at the south wall of the main gym. Photos in this report are from the following day 02 04 (when east wall was 90% complete and about seven courses had been installed on the south wall). REPORT BY: ABH Page 2 of 3 13. Primary AVB installation for Area D is complete, and Lighthouse is about to commence precast and masonry work at Area D according to Commodore. 14. Roofing installation has paused for the moment. 15. RBO has paused site work at the athletic fields for the moment. DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS 12002. (From 01-20 site report) Question about window surround support angle. Update: The window surround on the mockup was observed and approved, but CB expressed renewed concern about the detail, relating that the installer of the brake metal on the mockup did not fasten it to the support angle, due to the apparent lack of “trueness” of the support angle. CB repeated concern potential compromise to the air barrier system due to support angle fasteners. PE issued a revised detail that supports the window surround exclusively on the rainscreen girt system. this item is being closed 11301. (From 01-13 site report): Conflict between light shelf framing and radiant panels. Update: still open; RFI has been responded to but it is not clear that CB will accept the PE solution as final. 11302.
