This project is being completed in response to an Enforcement Order that was issued
February 9th, 2021 for cutting trees and undergrowth on a coastal bank. Restoration
work included the removal and treatment of invasive vines and weeds as well as
treatment of re-sprouting saplings unless otherwise indicated on the Restoration Plan.
Restoration work also included seeding and blanketing the bank with a native seed mix
and vegetating the bank with a mix of woody shrubs, grasses, sedges and forbs.

• Seeding and blanketing (April 2021)
• Restoration planting- shrubs, grasses and forbs (July 2021)
• Maintenance for invasive and weed species and monitoring plant establishment
(September & October 2021)
Evaluation:
Site should continue to be monitored and managed for invasive species that may have
germinated from existing seed bank or re-sprouted from roots remaining in the soil.
Restoration plantings are in good shape but should be evaluated again in the next
growing season to assess where establishment has been successful or unsuccessful.
The construction of the bulkhead was underway in October. The site will need to be
assessed after the bulkhead is completed and additional seeding, blanketing, and
planting work may be necessary to re-stabilize the soils and repair the area around
the construction zone.
Site prior to any work.
Restoration plantings following installation.
