elevation).
3. Interior partition framing is complete in Area C and Interior partition detailing (soffits and portals etc.) is ongoing.
Layout and basic wall framing by Colony is progressing on both floors of Area B “central commons” / admin area
(see photo on page 3).

field reports. Installation of retaining wall for upper sports field is ongoing
DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
31001. Prep for AVB at gym. There were a number of discussions about voids in the outside-side of the east wall
(see photo below). PE and CB agreed that large voids in the masonry will be filled with CMU, and minor
voids at the columns will be bridged with sheathing prior to the application of the fluid applied membrane.
31002. Bulletin #29. PE reviewed Bulletin #29 details with CB.
31003. ‘As-builts’ for outrigger position – Area A. PE asked CB to check the stud locations for the sunshade
outriggers at Area A south wall so that if there is a systematic “offset” in the as built outrigger placement (as
there was in some other areas) the window R O locations can be adjusted accordingly.
31004. Exposed HSS support brackets in gym (see photo on page 3). CB asked about masking this condition; PE
proposed grinding the steel down as much as possible and infilling voids with pieces of GFCMU.
Prior Items
22402. (from 03 03 site report) Caulk color PE reviewed caulk color options at mockup and gave direction
Update:. Beacon will mock up one color at Area D.
11301. (From 01-13 site report): Guard rail welds at D & C stairs - United still needs to grind welds for guards at
academic stairs (see photo). still open
21603. (From the 12-16 site report) OF scuppers. Harold bros has installed the originally-specified ‘lamb’s tounge’
scuppers at the overflow outlets high on the building, in spite of revised (B14) detail, which called for
changing to a square one. Update:. Still open.

Excavate to design subgrade elevation using best practices
Place a 12” thick layer of Compacted ¾” Crushed Stone upon subgrade
Retaining Wall Blocks may now be placed upon the Crushed Stone surface
In‐Situ Native Sand Preparation Detail :
The soil matrix encountered at subgrade elevation largely consists of uniform sands and fine sands with scant traces of
non‐plastic silt. Therefore, the proper in‐situ compaction of this material is largely dependent on the relative moisture
content of the soil. Since the encountered materials are of native, (natural) deposition the water content can vary from
location to location. Each situation must be evaluated to determine that the proper soil compaction techniques are
utilized vis‐à‐vis the moisture content of the soil. In other words, it may be necessary to moisten some areas with
supplied water in order to certify proper compaction of the native sand subgrade in these circumstances.
