Eric Pittman reported to John Pope with PMA at the Jobsite. At the request of John Pope and in the presence of the town building official,
subcontractor and GC representatives; this inspector destructively tested randomly selected through floor MEP penetrations per ASTM E
2174 guidelines. Penetrations were inspected on the 2nd level wing D. One penetration for each submitted assembly design was
destructively inspected. For plumbing work , designs CAJ 1226 and 5091 were inspected with passing results. For mechanical work,
designs CAJ 5343 and 5090 were destructively inspected with passing results. For electrical work, designs CAJ 3239 and CAJ 2647 were
destructively tested with passing results. All tested locations were repaired on this same day. Over 2% of each type design installed to
date were tested.
Additional Notes: At the request of John Pope, In-wall and In-chaise 2nd level wing D floor penetrations were inspected for
completion. Open penetrations were found and marked on the attached plan, which was provided to PMA.
Except for 2-3 mechanical rooms, the D wing, per "G" project plans, has no fire-rated walls or floors. Work is ongoing and
incomplete at the rated Mechanical rooms. Approved submittals may be needed for top of wall joint firestopping in this location.
Referenced Details: Submitted Hilti firestop designs. Project plans and referenced standards.
