bush. While our property is (technically) in OKH district, we are on the extreme edge of the district
and far from public visibility or trafficked paths within OKH. The design of our proposed shed (see below)...

I'll agree to that placement. Let them know that I thank them for their effort.

The picture showing the shed near the brick retaining wall is the new placement;
the other pictures are from the original placement that you didn't like since it was
visible from the road. This house has a tough backyard to find a place for a shed,
but based on your comments from the first time you looked at the plan, tried to
move it more behind the house. If that doesn't help, I can ask for a plot plan?
Thanks Richard,
Lisa

The pictures are not very helpful; a plot plan would be better. e.g., the house looks
relatively close to the lot line next to lot 23. In one picture it indicates that the shed
would be next to a brick landscape wall and near a picnic table with an umbrella.
A sketch with all that stuff would help.

This is a continuation of a request we received last month. You had
requested additional information, and the resident was in the process
of moving permanently to Aunt Dorah's Lane, so just got back to me
with the answers to your questions.
I included his email, his updated pictures, and the original COE to
refresh your memory.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.
Thanks Richard,

Lisa,
Good day. I apologize for the delayed response to your latest questions in this thread. My family and I were
relocating from Denver to Yarmouth Port, as we sold our Denver Home and have (finally!) relocated to
Yarmouth Port permanently (a process 3 years in the making). I chose to wait and respond to your very
reasonable inquiries until I was on site at our Aunt Dorah's home and able to take appropriate pictures and give
my comments due context and attention. That said, I have enclosed some photos pertaining to your question as
to whether there is any other location on the property which would be less visible and more optimal for the
shed. I am proposing we would install the same l Ox 12 unit in the BACK of the home, where it would be
adjacent to our patio and deck. Frankly, I think this is a better balance of utility (as it's accessible from our
upper driveway and patio) and aesthetics (due to the fact it will be tucked behind the home and visible only
from a very narrow section of the road, and only seasonally when foliage is thin). Regarding your additional
questions pertaining to issues other than location: (1) yes, we *will* ensure the siding and colors match the
house (even if this means having the siding company come out to side it in the same material as the home or
asking the manufacturer to do a custom spec for us); (2) I would imagine it would have shutters (pursuant to
number one, above); (3) in the new proposed location the preference would be to orient it with the doors facing
the patio (see drawing); (4) I have included photos with blue flags marking out the proposed location (with
close up and shots from the road for scale and understanding of how this location is less obtrusive than the
previous proposed location).
Please let me know if you have additional questions, comments, or concerns, and I will work to address them
immediately. It's our hope to get this approved as soon as possible, as we are desperately in need of the space
now that this is our primary residence for many years to come!
Regards ... your neighbors, APPR-

Hi,
T received your Certificate of Exemption yesterday for your shed. I sent the information to the
OKH chair, and he has some questions about your request:
• Will the shed colors match the house?
• Will the shed have shutters?
• How will the shed be oriented; i.e., will the back of the salt box be facing the parking area
to make it less noticeable?
• Can you send a more specific map of where the shed will be located in relation to the house
and parking area?
Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions or need assistance.

Ungerland 26 Aunt Dorahs Ln Shed COE
(ctd. from COE .PDF) ... The proposed design of our project will intentionally ensure the shed's
exterior aesthetic conform to the guidelines of OKH. Moreover, we are mindfully selecting a
design of the small shed which will mirror our recently refurbished exterior of our home per the
work approved by OKH in 2021 (https://www.pinebarbor.comlwp-
content/uploads/2019/05110x12-saltbox-blue-ddoors.ip). Considering the size, intentional
aesthetic agreement with our home (recently refurbished per approval of materials by OKH) and
the replacement of an existing wooden storage box of an unsightly nature, we respectfully
request approval to move forward with our project that we might continue improvements to our
lot and further invest in the appeal of our community.
