Note: the words Supporting Structure & Supporting Framework
are words directly used in the zoning bylaw 303.5.4.1
We applied for, and a permit was issued for our freestanding sign in June of 2021.
We fabricated and installed the supporting structure I framework and painted it.
(There is nothing in the bylaws about color of the supporting structure 1 framework)
We installed the sign onto the supporting structure 1 framework.
Someone complained about our sign.
The building inspector came out to investigate.
He did not measure the sign, he mistakenly measured the supporting structure 1 framework.
Our sign measures 96" x 22" = 15 SgFt (Bylaw allows 24 sgft)
We were issued a violation notice.
and here we are...
The following Photos and documents clearly show the difference between
a sign and a supporting structure I framework, as all of these have been approved by the
Yarmouth building department.
Thank You
