WORK IN PROGRESS: 1) Interior partition framing, drywall, painting 2) MEP/FP rough-in 3) Elevator installation 4) Door frame installation 5) Misc metals work (seismic clips) 6) Curtain wall installation 7) GFRC panel girt installation and insulation 8) Acoustical screen on roof 9) Brick masonry and CMU 10) Exterior AVB membrane at A 11) Window caulking 12) Site work at the upper sports field FIELD OBSERVATIONS: PE visited the site on Thursday 05-12, to review ongoing progress. Interior Items 1. Colony is in process of facing the light shelves in D (see photo on p. 2); tile work in D will start next week per CB. 2. In area C they are Boarding on the first floor and Getting ready for taping; the 2nd floor radiant panels are in 3. Lighthouse has finished the CMU at the records room and will be moving on to the security walls at two entry ways (Area B). 4. MEP rough in gym and area B is ongoing—making penetrations for piping, ductwork, overhead rough 5. MEP rough is also ongoing in Area A 6. O’Byrne’s crew is continuing to paint classrooms in Area D in prep for ceiling installation 7. Carr has commenced installing ceiling framing in Area D. 8. MEP rough-in is ongoing in Area B gymnasium; Harold bros has finished roughing the plumbing for the locker room area, ahead of Lighthouse 9. Soffit framing and HM Door frames installation is ongoing in Area B central commons area. 10. United is in the process of installing seismic clips at Custodial work area CMU-Area A (see photo, p. 3). Exterior items: 11. Sheathing at areas A-B is now substantially complete and AVB membrane installation by Beacon has progressed to cover most of the façade of A up to about the auditorium. CB is pushing Beacon to get A weather tight for MEP rough. 12. Caulking for the exterior windows is starting today (beginning at SW corner of D). 13. Panel contractor (Lymo) is installing clips and prepping the south façade of gym for GFRG panels; their installation of GFRG panels is currently complete at the SW and West facades of Area D (see photo, p. 4). 14. Lymo is also finishing with the install of the ACM at the north façade of D. REPORT BY: ABH Page 2 of 4 15. Lymo has started installing the acoustical screen panels at the roof of Area D. (see photo on page 3.) 16. The masonry subcontractor is continuing to install the PCC base ahead of brick work--currently working around south elevation of Area B. 17. Brick progress: still installing brick at Area B-C courtyard; the other Lighthouse masonry crew is currently installing brick at north façade of gym area (see photo on page 4). 18. Lambrian is currently installing Curtain wall at Upper corners of gym (see photo on page 3). According to CB Bronze caulking for exterior windows is starting today, starting at SW corner of D. 19. Site work: up on field B perimeter curb pour has started. Netting sleeves and fence post field goal post foundations. Underground site work complete. upper field stair and grid subgrade for field A have been lined up for Monday. DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS New items 5121. “Ceiling Clouds” at B level 2. PE and CB/Colony discussed how to address this; PE to issue a sketch with hard ceiling ILO clouds—this is also the updated response to RFI . If possible PE would like to avoid putting an access panel in the exterior soffit in front of the main entrance. To be closed 5122. Furring in corridor on west side of CMU fire wall. PE discussed with CB/Colony, and called attention to the details in Bulletin 35 (issued on 5-10), i.e. 5/a517 and 10/a515. The issue is to allow movement at seismic joint. Prior items 5051. (from 05 05 site report) Roof drains over unconditioned space. Two of the roof drains for the main canopy are above unconditioned space (i.e. south of the perimeter wall at level 1). PE and CB discussed how to address this. If possible PE would like to avoid putting an access panel in the exterior soffit in front of the main entrance. Still open. 4281. (from 04 28 site report) Guards at east stairs level 2. In two cases the guards on level 2 are going to be in conflict with the tile; PE + CB to have it addressed by cleanly torching off the last module of the guard (will be < 4” from finished wall return) Update: United has addressed this a C east level 2; will be kept open 4282. (from 04 28 site report) CMU wall Seismic clips at Custodial Work Area. CB questioned the size of the steel lintel supporting the block above the “EXT 12” overhead door; GAC directed CB to have United install structural seismic clips all along CMU walls at perimeter-- per the standard detail on S-7.00. (this issue is also addressed in RFI #357). Still open. 4211. (from 04 21 site report) Facia plate at auditorium. Steel fascia at the balcony was installed ½” too low. Still open: team to look at Schluter strip options. 4212. (from 04 21 site report) Steel protrusion at auditorium. Still open. 4141. (from 04 14 site report) Poorly plumbed column at A.17/V. to be furred out with 7/8” furring channels. Still open. 4142. (from 04 14 site report) Accent paint at classroom walls. (soffit issue still open) 31002. (from 03 10 site report) Exposed HSS support brackets in gym. still open. 11301. (From 01-13 site report): Guard rail welds at D & C stairs - United still needs to grind welds for the guards at academic stairs (see photo). Update: PE reviewed this item with United and CB emphasized schedule issue-still open.
