Reference is made to Sections 6 & 8 of the Old King's Highway Regional Historic District Act as established by Chapter 470 of the Acts of 1973, as amended and as published in the OLD KING'S HIGHWAY REGIONAL HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION BULLETIN. This Act requires that all exterior changes and/or additions to settings and structures be reviewed and approved by the local Old King's Highway Committee prior to work being started. It has been brought to the attention of the Yarmouth Old King's Highway Committee that fencing has been installed on your property, the trim color on the house has been changed, door colors have been changed, gate fencing has been added to end posts at the end of the driveway, and a sculpture has been erected on the property without the prior approval of the Yarmouth Old King's Highway Committee. As such, you are hereby informed that you are currently in violation of the OKH by-laws for the following reason(s): 1. Installation of a fence without approval from Yarmouth Old King's Highway Committee for appropriateness and setting. 2. Installation of a sculpture visible to the street without approval from Yarmouth Old King's Highway Committee for appropriateness and setting. 3. Change to the trim color on the house and barn, and color change to the house door, barn doors, and hayloft door without approval from Yarmouth Old King's Highway Committee for appropriateness and setting. 4. Gate fencing on end posts at the end of the driveway has been added without approval from Yarmouth Old King's Highway Committee for appropriateness and setting. To seek approval for these changes, enclosed please find an application packet for a Certificate of Appropriateness. Please complete the application and return it to the Old King's Highway office within 14 business days of receipt of this notice. If, at the expiration of the time allowed, these conditions have not been remediated by the submission of an application and placement on a Yarmouth Old King's Highway Committee meeting agenda, such further action will be taken as the law requires. Any objection or inquiry in reference to this notice should be filed before the expiration of time allowed for the resolution of this violation.
