WORK IN PROGRESS: 1) Interior partition framing, drywall, painting 2) MEP/FP rough-in 3) Elevator installation 4) Door frame installation 5) Misc metals work 6) Millwork installation 7) Curtain wall installation 8) GFRC panel girt installation and insulation 9) RTU installation 10) Brick masonry and CMU 11) Exterior AVB membrane at A 12) Window caulking 13) Site work at the upper sports field FIELD OBSERVATIONS: PE visited the site on Thursday 05-26, to review ongoing progress. Interior Items 1. In Area D, ceiling installation, painting, tile installation and millwork installation were all observed in various stages of progress. Tile work is almost complete at the second floor toilet rooms. 2. Millwork for the classroom benches is arriving on site and getting loaded in; On level 2 of D the millwork installer has started putting in window trim. 3. O’Byrne has started painting the door frames in Area D.; O’Byrne has now started painting at Area C 4. At Area C, Colony is taping on level 1, and the 1st floor radiant panels are being installed. 5. Lighthouse is in the process of building the masonry walls at the gym locker room area (Area B), and will be installing the security walls at the main entry next. 6. At the Area A auditorium, the staging has been set up to facilitate K-13 installation, as well as overhead MEP rough and ceiling work. 7. MEP rough at Areas A and B is ongoing; same in (Area B). Rough is almost complete at 2nd floor of Area B. 8. Soffit framing is ongoing at area A, and HM Door frames installation is ongoing. 9. Colony has started installing sheetrock at the central area of B, and the ceiling there is framed. 10. According to CB, the elevator installation will be complete next week. Exterior items: 11. Most of the RTUs have been installed on the roof; 3 still remain to be installed. 12. United has installed the steel plates for the door surround at the large door at the auditorium stage exterior wall. 13. AVB membrane installation by Beacon has progressed to cover about 90% of Area A. 14. Caulking for the exterior windows is starting today (beginning at SW corner of D). REPORT BY: ABH Page 2 of 4 15. Panel contractor (Lymo) is installing ACM at the link between Areas C and D. Their installation of GFRG panels is currently complete at the SW and West facades of Area D, including the C-D courtyard (both north and south), and they are working their way around the north and east sides (see photo, p. 4). 16. Lambrian is installing windows in Area A and at the time of observation they were installing glass at the curtain walls in the academic wings. 17. Brick progress: C is complete and is being washed down; the north side of the gym is complete and the crew is working around the south side of B. 18. Site work: Loaming has commenced at the NW corner; the formwork for the synthetic turf tension ring is in place, and the first concrete pour is scheduled for next Thursday according to CB. DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS New items 5261. Gap at locker room floor. At the floor condition shown on 11/S203 there is about a 1 ½” gap between the EOS and the CMU perim. wall. PE directed CB to infill with concrete and keep a slip joint between the concrete and CMU so that the infill will move with the floor slab and avoid cracks. (see photo on page 4) Prior items 5171. (from 05 17 site report) PCC base alignment with window jamb. Taller PCC base at gym NE corner (to left of sill) is slightly too wide; PE discussed with CB/Lighthouse. Lighthouse to address. Update: This has been addressed. Item to be closed 5122. (from 05 05 site report) Furring in corridor on west side of CMU fire wall. (from 05 12 site report). PE discussed with CB/Colony, and called attention to the details in Bulletin 35 (issued on 5-10), i.e. 5/a517 and 10/a515. The issue is to allow movement at seismic joint. .Still open. 4211. (from 05 05 site report) Roof drains over unconditioned space. Two of the roof drains for the main canopy are above unconditioned space (i.e. south of the perimeter wall at level 1). PE and CB discussed how to address this. If possible PE would like to avoid putting an access panel in the exterior soffit in front of the main entrance. Update: it was mutually agreed that short run of drain pipe south of perimeter will be insulated. TO BE CLOSED. 4281. (from 04 28 site report) Guards at east stairs level 2. In two cases the guards on level 2 are going to be in conflict with the tile; PE + CB to have it addressed by cleanly torching off the last module of the guard (will be < 4” from finished wall return) Update: United has addressed this a C east level 2; will be kept open 4212. (from 04 21 site report) Facia plate at auditorium. Steel fascia at the balcony was installed ½” too low. Update: tile contractor verified that we can curve the Schluter strip. TO BE CLOSED. 4213. (from 04 21 site report) Steel protrusion at auditorium. Still open. 4141. (from 04 14 site report) Poorly plumbed column at A.17/V. to be furred out with 7/8” furring channels. Still open. Update: This was addressed. TO BE CLOSED. 4142. (from 04 14 site report) Accent paint at classroom walls. (soffit issue still open) 31002. (from 03 10 site report) Exposed HSS support brackets in gym. still open. 11301. (From 01-13 site report): Guard rail welds at D & C stairs - United still needs to grind welds for the guards at academic stairs (see photo). Update: -still open.
