CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING UTILITIES WITHIN THE WORK AREA DURING CONSTRUCTION. 2. THIS PLAN IS FOR SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM DESIGN PURPOSES ONLY. ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL CONFORM TO THE STATE SANITARY REGULATIONS (310 CMR 15.00) AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL CODES AND REGULATIONS. 6. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS, INCLUDING ELEVATIONS OF EXISTING BUILDING SEWER, AND REPORT AND DISCREPANCIES TO THE DESIGN ENGINEER PRIOR TO THE SETTING OF ANY SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM COMPONENTS. SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM NOTES: 1. H-20 RATED COMPONENTS SHALL BE REQUIRED IN ANY AREAS SUBJECT TO VEHICULAR LOADING AND AS REQUIRED ON THE PLAN. 2. THE DESIGNER WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SYSTEM AS DESIGNED UNLESS CONSTRUCTED AS SHOWN. ANY CHANGES OR DEMATIONS FROM THIS PLAN MUST BE APPROVED IN WRITING. 3. ALL GRAVITY SEWER PIPE SHALL BE 4" DIA. SCH 40 PVC UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. THE MINIMUM SLOPE OF 4" DIA. SCH 40 PVC SHALL BE 0.01 FT/FT. 4. SOIL ABSORPTION SYSTEMS MUST BE VENTED WHEN DISTRIBUTION LINES EXCEED 50 FEET IN LENGTH, WHEN LOCATED 1N AREAS SUBJECT TO VEHICULAR LOADING, AND WHEN PRESSURE DOSED. 5. FINISHED GRADE SHALL BE A MAXIMUM OF 36" AND A MINIMUM OF 9" OVER THE TOP OF ALL SYSTEM COMPONENTS: 6. EXISTING CESSPOOLS SHALL BE PUMPED DRY, REMOVED, AND REPLACED WITH CLEAN SAND IF THEY ARE FOUND TO BE WITHIN 5' OF THE NEWLY PROPOSED SOIL ABSORPTION SYSTEM (SAS). 7. ALL SEPTIC COMPONENTS SHALL BE INSTALLED WATERTIGHT. 8. COMPONENTS TO BE PROVIDE WITH WATERTIGHT ACCESS COVERS RAISED TO WITHIN 6" OF GRADE WHERE REQUIRED. 9. PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION BY THE ENGINEER AND THE BOARD OF HEALTH ALL SYSTEM COMPONENTS MUST BE INSTALLED INCLUDING ALL ACCESS COVERS WITH RISERS. 10. CONNECTION TO EXISTING SEWER UNE ELEVATION BASED ON EXISTING INVERT-ATCESSPOOL (SEE NOTE #11). CONTRACTOR SHALL SECURE CONNECTION AT EXISTING JOINT AND PROVIDE A CLEANOUT AS SHOWN ON THE SCHEMATIC PLOW PROFILE: ALL ORANGEBURG, CLAY, OR SCH. 20 PVC PIPE THAT IS ENCOUNTERED IT SHALL BE REPLACED WITH SCH. 40 PVC. 11.
