ARCHITECT’S SITE OBSERVATION REPORT

The purpose of the Site Observation Report is to record general observations of the work in progress at the time of the Architect’s visit.
WORK IN PROGRESS:
1) Interior partition framing, drywall
2) Interior painting and tile work
3) MEP/FP rough-in
4) Door frame installation
5) Misc. metals
6) Millwork installation
7) Interior CMU installation
8) Curtain wall installation
9) Window stripping and caulking
10) GFRC panel and prep (girt installation and insulation)
11) ACM panel installation
12) Brick masonry
13) Concrete pour at the upper sports field
FIELD OBSERVATIONS:
PE visited the site on Thursday 06-02, to review ongoing progress.
Interior Items
1. In Areas C and D, ceiling installation, painting, tile installation and millwork installation are all in progress. Tile
work is complete at the area D second floor toilet rooms and in progress on level 1 (see photo on page 3). The
wainscot tile is nearly finished in the corridors (area D).
2. Arden and Annese are working on above-ceiling MEP at Area D. H.Carr is finishing up ceiling grid in the
classrooms at Area D, as well as the hard ceilings in the toilet rooms.
3. Millwork installation is proceeding at Area D—window casing etc on the south side. The light shelves are typically
ready for radiant panel installation (see photo on page 3).
4. At Area B Lighthouse is installing the CMU walls in the locker areas—about 70% complete. At the time of
observation they were working on the wall of the GN changing room. (see photo on page 4)
5. Arden is working on Gym MEP overhead rough-in and radiant panel piping.
6. K-13 installation is underway at the Area A auditorium,
7. Soffit framing is ongoing at area A, and HM Door frames installation is ongoing.
8. Area B: Colony’s sheetrock installation is ongoing at the central area of B as well as the media center on level 2
(see photo on page 3).
9. MEP rough in is underway at area B media center (see photo on page 5).
Exterior items:
1. Brick and brick washdown is complete at Area C, and at the time of observation Lighthouse was building the
masonry walls at the south side of the admin area adjacent to the entrance (Area B), (see photo on page 3).

2. Exterior ACM panel installation at the C-D links is in progress; it is complete at the west link and about to
commence at the west link.
3. At the time of observation the panel contractor (Lymo construction) was installing GFRC panels at the SE facade
of Area D; they have installed the girts at most of Area C in preparation for GFRC installation there (see photos
on pages 2 and 3).
4. Stanley has also installed the window surrounds at area C in preparation for GFRC installation (see photo on
page 3).
5. Beacon has finished tying in all the AVB membrane “patches” at the gym in preparation for Lymo. At the time of
observation, Beacon was in the process of stripping in the windows at Area A.
6. Exterior CW is finished for the classroom wings. At the time of observation Lambrian was installing IGUs at the
gymnasium curtain wall (see photo on page 3).
7. Caulking for the exterior windows is ongoing and is about 50% complete.
Site work:
1. The first concrete pour for the Field B curb is in progress (see photo on page 4). Marguerite will be pouring field
A curbing next, according to CB, as well as field goal footings and scoreboard foundations.
2. Gas line by National grid is scheduled for installation next Tuesday according to CB.
DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
New items
6021. Exposed duct work at Adaptive PE. Double wall Oval ductwork was missed by the design team for the
adaptive PE area, so PE asked CB to use exposed type jacketed insulation for the ducts (which can be
painted) in lieu of normal thermafiber.(See photo on page 5).
Prior items
5261. (from 05 26 site report). Gap at locker room floor. At the floor condition shown on 11/S203 there is about a
1 ½” gap between the EOS and the CMU perim. wall. Update: This issue has been addressed. To be
closed.
5051. (from 05 05 site report). Furring in corridor on west side of CMU fire wall. (from 05 12 site report). PE
discussed with CB/Colony, and called attention to the details in Bulletin 35 (issued on 5-10), i.e. 5/a517 and
10/a515. The issue is to allow movement at seismic joint. . Update: This issue has been addressed. To be
closed.
4281. (from 04 28 site report) Guards at east stairs level 2. In two cases the guards on level 2 are going to be in
conflict with the tile; PE + CB to have it addressed by cleanly torching off the last module of the guard (will be
< 4” from finished wall return) Update: To be closed.
4211. (from 04 21 site report) Steel protrusion at auditorium. Still open.
4141. (from 04 14 site report) Accent paint at classroom walls. (soffit issue still open)
31002. (from 03 10 site report) Exposed HSS support brackets in gym. Update: This issue has been addressed
except for painting. To be closed.
11301. (From 01-13 site report): Guard rail welds at D & C stairs - United still needs to grind welds for the guards
at academic stairs (see photo). Still open.
