Dear Committee Members,

First and foremost I commend the committee for working diligently in keeping the
quaintness and charm of our historic area. In my opinion, it is one of the nicest areas on
Cape Cod and I am glad I purchased a home in this area.
I am writing in support of my neighbor's children's wooden tree house. The tree house
is in the backyard and blends in perfectly with the foliage. There is absolutely nothing
obtrusive about it and it is barely visible unless you strain your neck to look. Would it be
better if they had a land of bright plastic playscapes that is not regulated by the OKH
committee? It is so nice to see and hear the children enjoying the outdoors while playing
outside.
Since I arrived on Cape, I have heard constant concerns in regards to the low numbers of
ftilltime residents and how VRBO is ruining the Cape and ways to retain fulltime
residents. Here we have a family that lives here fulltime with growing children and they
should be afforded the ability to have this temporary structure to enjoy while they are
young.
Therefore, I Donna Lowney, 24 Wharf Lane, SUPPORT THE SCHMIDT
CHILDREN'S TREELIMME.

Re: 84 Main St, Yarmouthport, (Treehouse)
As the neighbor closest to 84 Main St. and with the most visibility to their
property and the tree house I can only commend them for enhancina the
garden with a tree house.
My property is our home and also a business "The Village Inn Bed &
Breakfast," we enjoy guests from around the world visiting Cape Cod, they
are enchanted with Yarmouth Port, the historic homes and beautiful
scenery, they also enjoy the fact it is a vibrant community of all ages,
having the children plavina in the garden next door only reinforces that.

Dear Old Kings Highway Historic District,
Hi, my name is Margaret Hagopian and I am a neighbor of Casey and Brianna. I am 13
years old and going into the 8th grade. i love looking over into their yard and seeing their
beautiful treehouse. They spent a lot of time building it and enjoy playing in it.
I do not think it is a wise decision to tell them that it is not a good thing to have in their yard.
They have made a treehouse that is built very well and looks so nice.
Sincerely,
Ger

Re: 84 Route 6A, Yarmouth Port, MA- Treehouse ING S HUZO n,,,.,
Dear Mr. Gegenwarth & OKH Committee,
We have received the violation notice for the treehouse we have built on our property recently.
As we read nothing about impermanent structures such as treehouses and play/swingsets, we
did not believe it fell within the scope of what needed approval. We have now learned that we
do need approval, and have since submitted the application to the OKH Committee.
In addition to the application, we would like to demonstrate, below, that we have the full
support of our neighbors, including all abutters.
We thank you for your consideration, and look forward to discussing the matter at an upcoming
hearing.
All the best,
Brianna Balboni
