We have a concrete cutter to cut space for the new window. We are also digging a code compliant well. Cod requires the window egress to be equal to or greater than 5 square feet. This window more than meets that requirement but gives me piece of mind. A firefighter, with equipment on, must be able to fit in the well and through the window. I hope this helps. Thank you again. I don't understand how they can install a casement window (that opens out) in the place of a basement window. Moreover, casement window shown is vertical and basement window is horizontal. The applicant agrees to extend the time frame within which a determination is to be made as required by the Old King's Highway Regional Historic District Act.
