Attorney Michael Dolan presented on behalf of the Petitioner and was joined by Michael Dennehy, General Manager at Volta Charging. The Petitioner was seeking Variances from §303.3.1, §303.3.4, §303.3.6, and §303.5.4 of the Town's Zoning By-law to install, operate, and maintain two (2) electric vehicle charging stations with display signs at the Property. The proposed charging stations were to be located approximately 300 feet away from the nearest public road. The display screens on the chargers would not involve any video and would not make any sound. Mr. Dolan explained that the digital signage on the proposed charging stations was necessary in order to generate revenues which would allow the Petitioner to provide a free charging experience to the residents of the Town of Yarmouth. Chairman DeYoung and Mr. Igoe both stated that they supported electric vehicle chargers but were concerned about the visual impact of the digital display ads and thus could not support the application. Chairman DeYoung recommended that the Petitioner work with the Town to amend the Town's Zoning By-law so as to allow for chargers with digital display screens and asked the Petitioner if they would like to withdraw their application without prejudice. The Petitioner supported that option. Accordingly,a motion was made by Mr.Igoe and seconded by Mr. Fraprie to grant the Petitioner's request and,on a roll call vote, all members voted in favor of the withdrawal of the Petition without prejudice. )11C,,..4.4E31111.4.,,, Steven DeYoung, Chairman CERTIFICATION OF TOWN CLERK I, Mary A.
