WORK IN PROGRESS: 1) Drywall taping and painting 2) Classroom casework installation 3) Linoleum flooring installation at classrooms 4) Millwork installation 5) Tile installation 6) Ceiling framing; ceiling installation 7) MEP/FP rough-in and finish work 8) Curtain wall silicone sealing 9) Envelope Caulking 10) GFRC panel installation and prep (girt/ insulation installation) 11) ACM panel installation and prep (girt/insulation installation) 12) RTU installation 13) Site work FIELD OBSERVATIONS: PE visited the site on Thursday 08-18, to review ongoing progress. Interior Items 1. At D and C wings, plumbing fixtures are being installed in the bathrooms. 2. At Area D, epoxy and SSM casework counter tops have been installed; ceiling installation including tile is at about 90% in the classrooms and 60% in the corridors; radiant panels have been hung in the corridors 3. At Area D, Linoleum flooring installation has commenced (see photo on page 4), proceeding from the west side toward the east. 4. At the time of observation, Wright was installing Millwork around the curtain wall at the link between C and D, as well as in the classrooms overlooking the courtyard. 5. At Area C, ceiling grid installation is ongoing, bathroom and wall tile installation is complete, and installation of portals at levels 1 and 2 is nearly complete (see photo on page 3). 6. Casework installation at C is ongoing; the installation of diffusers and radiant panels is almost complete. 7. Corridor tile and other finish work is being finished up at area C. 8. H. Carr is about to start the framing for the wood slat ceilings in the collaboration spaces (corridor open spaces). 9. At Area B, Colony is in the process of taping the GWB at the locker room areas; ceiling grid is complete at the entry vestibules; tile work is complete in the level 2 bathrooms. 10. Anesse has installed the lights in the media center; and Rustic is installing sprinkler head covers, and Colony has finished taping the gyp in the administrative area. 11. O’Byrne is about 50% with the painting of the the gymnasium steel / MEP (north half is complete). 12. At area A, Above-ceiling MEP work at the music rooms and the cafeteria is nearly complete or complete—ready for ceiling installation to begin. REPORT BY: ABH Page 2 of 5 13. At the kitchen area Arden is tying the ducts into the hoods and connecting to roof fans. 14. At Area A, Colony is almost finished boarding the cafeteria and has finished preparing the music rooms for paint 15. Installation of the metal acoustical ceiling panels at the auditorium is nearly complete (see photo on page 4); the staging will be removed next week. Exterior items: 1. Loading bay window is being installed at area C, sealed etc. 2. Electrical rough in for the lights at the entrances is complete. 3. At the time of observation, Lymo was installing the last remaining green girts/insulation for Area A—at the area above curtain wall C-3 (auditorium corridor - Area A). 4. At the time of observation, Beacon was installing the silicone tape to seal the CW at the infill for the B-C links on the west side (at the south courtyard). See photo in attached RJK FR 17. 5. At the time of observation, Lymo was installing an ACM ‘test panel’ for the curved ‘chevron’ at the canopy above the Wixon entrance (see photo). 6. Due to the interference of the metal window surrounds at the large cafeteria windows with the ETA, the window surrounds had to be removed and replaced, requiring partial removal of the GFRC panel installation on the north façade of Area A. 7. At the time of observation, Lymo had almost finished installing the ACM for the infill of the first floor at the east link at the north courtyard (see photo on page 5 of attached RJK FR 17). 8. Beacon has finished sealing the aluminum plates at C-1 and C-3 spandrels into the CW glazing pockets (see photo in attached RJK report #17, page 4). Site work: 1. Traffic light work is ongoing; traffic detail has closed off the westbound lane of traffic 2. RBO is in the process of setting the concrete curbs in the north courtyard (see photo on page 3) . 3. At the time of observation, RBO was installing the sidewalk paving along Station Avenue. 4. RBO is grading the north side of Field C. 5. According to commodore, the binder course for the running track will be installed on Friday. DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS New items 8181. Color change at guards and door frames in atrium etc. For the metal guards, stringers and HM door frames in Area B (i.e. all exposed metal, other than frames in the art classrooms), PE asked O’Byrne to use “deep river”—the color used in the gym--instead of “notre dame.” Color selections in Area B auditorium to remain unchanged. 8182. Grading issue at basketball court: See attached TLA report, page 2 of 5. 8183. Shot put concrete curb in wrong location: See attached TLA report, page 5 of 5. 8184. Disconnect between PVC roof membrane and AVB: See attached RJK report, discussion item 17.1 8185. Unsealed prefab pipe flashing. See attached RJK report, discussion item 17.2. Prior items 8111. (from 8-11 site report) Water filling station at Level 2. Still open 8112. (from 8-11 site report) Damaged ACM parapet panels: two of the ACM parapet panels at the B-C (south) courtyard, on the courtyard side of east link, appear to have been damaged by a lift and should be replaced. (see also attached RJK report for additional photos) Still open 8113. (from 8-11 site report) Metal in contact with roof membrane. Still open 7281. (from 07 28 site report) Polished concrete flooring samples. Update: flooring subcontractor provided a new sample with the white matrix and Carol Woodbury approved the sample. CDW, Traverse, PMA and Commodore worked to adjust the grading on the adjacent walkway along the east side of the school to meet ADA required slopes. All paved areas including the basketball play area will meet ADA requirements. Concrete will need to be modified. Traverse to issue an SKL to show corrected dimensions. August 23, 2022 10:14 AM Contractor shall refer to the photos and observations above. Contractor shall comply with all requirements instructed by the Landscape Architect on all previous field reports until such requirements are fulfilled. The Landscape Architect shall not be responsible for any items not addressed in previous field reports which may result in cost or damage. All work shall comply with that which is shown in the Contract Documents. General conditions Site visits performed by the Landscape Architect under this contract have been conducted under the limited conditions as described by site observations in the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, as referenced in the Owner-Architect Agreement. Information contained in this Field Observation Report by Traverse Landscape Architects has been prepared to the best of our knowledge according to observable conditions at the site. This information will be approved record unless written notice to the contrary is received within seven (7) calendar days of the issue date of this document. Written corrections shall be reported to observer at Traverse Landscape Architects. Oral rebuttals will not be accepted. Work Observed • Installation of Various Claddings • Roofing Installation Observations • Part B, West Elevation, Grid Line B15 - Elbex HS-222 silicone transition sheet was installed, set in sealant, lapped onto the curtain wall glazing pocket and onto exterior sheathing. (Figures 1, 2) • Part A, East Elevation, Grid Line B13, and Part B, South Elevation, Grid Line P7 - Aluminum plates are glazed into the curtain wall, and sealed utilizing sealant at end laps and against the glazing pockets. (Figures 3, 4) • Part A, East Elevation Rising Walls, Grid Lines A13, B15 - GreenGirt is installed wet set in sealant and fastened utilizing screws. (Figure 5) • Part C, East Elevation, Grid Lines C19 - LYMO 2000 ACM panels were installed, fastened utilizing panel clips to the horizontal GreenGirt. (Figures 6, 7) • Part A, North Elevation, Grid Line K- Rieder Öko Skin high performance cementitious wall panels were installed and are fastened to the horizontal galvanized hat channel with color matched screws. (Figure 8) Discussion Items Metal Panels 17.1 Damaged Metal Panels - Part C, Courtyard East Elevation, Parapet Level - Two panels have been damaged and require replacement.
