The purpose of the Site Observation Report is to record general observations of the work in progress at the time of the Architect’s visit.
WORK IN PROGRESS:
1) Drywall taping and painting
2) Classroom casework installation
3) Millwork installation
4) Tile installation
5) Ceiling framing; ceiling installation
6) MEP/FP rough-in and finish work
7) Curtain wall IGU installation
8) Envelope Caulking and CW sealing by Beacon
9) GFRC panel installation and prep (girt/ insulation installation)
10) ACM panel installation and prep (girt/insulation installation)
11) RTU installation
12) Site work
FIELD OBSERVATIONS:
PE visited the site on Thursday 08-11, to review ongoing progress.
Interior Items
1. At Area D, the tops for the casework are being installed; the bathroom tile and epoxy floor installation are
complete; ceiling grids are at about 90%; millwork installation is complete except for the portals on the south side
of the corridor.
2. At Area C, corridor and bathroom tile installation are complete, as well as epoxy floor finish installation; installation
of portals at levels 1 and 2 is ongoing (see photo on page 3).
3. Casework installation at C is ongoing.
4. Above ceiling MEP work at Area C is compete in preparation for ceiling installation, and MEP finish work is
ongoing.
5. The green and blue tile in the Area C stairs is complete.
6. Arden has installed the exhaust hoods in the kitchen area.
7. At Area B, the above-ceiling MEP work at the locker room area is complete; above-ceiling MEP work in Area A
will be complete next week according to Commodore.
8. At Area B, Anesse is installing lights in the media center and Rustic is installing sprinkler head covers; Colony is
taping the GWB in the administrative area (level 1).
9. O’Byrne has started painting the gymnasium steel / MEP.
10. Installation of the the metal acoustical ceiling panels at the auditorium by H. Carr is ongoing (Area A), and is
about 60% complete (see photo on page 4).
11. At Area A, Colony is finishing up taping in the music wing and is about to board the walls in the cafeteria stage,
according to CB.
12. Interior masonry work is now complete, and Lighthouse has de-mobilized.
13. To close action item from June, United has installed the gap closure panels at the stairs (see photo on page 3).

Exterior items:
1. RTUs at Areas C and D and installed and the RTUs for D will be started on 8-24 according to CB;
2. The acoustical screens for the RTUs (Area D) are complete (see photo on page 4).
3. Lymo has completed the ACM parapet panels at Area B north; and ACM installation at Area A is about 80%
complete—they are just finishing up the ACM at the west façade of auditorium.
4. GFRC panel installation is complete at the cafetorium north, gym north and east, and is coming around the gym
on the south side (see photo in attached RJK site report).
5. Lymo is continuing to work on the infill of the first floor at the east link at the north courtyard; the PCC base there
is done and the installation of girts and insulation is almost complete.
6. Lymo has installed the green girts and insulation at the stair roof bulkhead (also see attached FR 16 by RJK for
photo).
7. Beacon has completed the masonry caulking and is focusing on finishing up the sealing of the curtain walls and
detailing.
8. Lambrian has installed the concealed panels that are glazed in at the spandrels of C-1, C-3 etc. --behind the ACM
band—(see photo on page 4).
9. Brick masonry work on the exterior is complete and Lighthouse has de-mobilized.
Site work:
1. At the time of observation most site work had been suspended due to the rain.
2. Footings for the basketball hoops have been installed.
3. RBO is installing the binder course at the existing driveway in front of SAE (between SAE and the district
administration building); will be completed today according to CB.
4. Irrigation work and loam installation in the couryards is due to start next week).
5. Installation of binder course will be completed today according to CB (C-D courtyard).
DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
New items
8111. Water filling station at Level 2. PE asked CB to have Harold Bros. move the upstairs water filling station, due
to conflicts with the rated enclosure at the EMR.
8112. Damaged ACM parapet panels: two of the ACM parapet panels at the B-C (south) courtyard, on the
courtyard side of east link, appear to have been damaged by a lift and should be replaced (see photo on
page 3
8113. Metal in contact with roof membrane. See attached RJK report, discussion item 16.1.

7281. (from 07 28 site report) Polished concrete flooring samples. PE reviewed the light gray and “white” polished
concrete color samples; selection is on hold pending consultation with the district. still open

General
Southern Courtyard 13.1
August 05, 2022
Commodore Builders requested Traverse to observe the southern courtyard prior to saw-cutting joints. Joints were to be cut
per plan.
Concrete footings for screen panels were poured. No Footings or panel submittal/shop drawings have been approved at this
time.
Exposed Aggerate concrete to be poured at later date.

Playground 13.2
August 05, 2022
Paul Genereux of Commodore Builders informed Traverse that a manhole cover was located within the play surfacing. The
manhole cover has been relocated outside the play surfacing and coordinated with CDW. Traverse takes no exception to the
adjustment.
Rick Mills of Commodore Builders informed Traverse that a walkway on the northern part of the playground was installed
approximately 8" inward to the correct layout. Commodore to confirm that the walkway does not interfere with any play
equipment footings, fall zones, or any other site objects prior to installation.

Contractor shall refer to the photos and observations above.
Contractor shall comply with all requirements instructed by the Landscape Architect on all previous field reports until such requirements are fulfilled. The
Landscape Architect shall not be responsible for any items not addressed in previous field reports which may result in cost or damage. All work shall comply with
that which is shown in the Contract Documents.
General conditions
Site visits performed by the Landscape Architect under this contract have been conducted under the limited conditions as described by site observations in the
General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, as referenced in the Owner-Architect Agreement.

FIELD REPORT
RJK discussed the issues with CB prior to leaving the site.
Work Observed

• Roofing Installation
Observations
• Part B, Roof Stair Tower - GreenGirt is installed wet set in sealant and fastened utilizing screws.
(Figures 1, 2)
• Part A, West Elevation, Grid Lines P - U - LYMO 2000 ACM panels were installed, fastened utilizing
panel clips to the horizontal GreenGirt. (Figures 3, 4)
• Part B, south elevation, Grid Lines A17 - B33 and Part A, North Elevation, Grid Lines B1 - B14 -
Rieder Öko Skin high performance cementitious wall panels were installed and are fastened to the
horizontal galvanized hat channel with color matched screws. (Figures 5, 6)
• Part B, Roof Stair Tower - Repairs to the roof membrane in contact with asphaltic adhesive were
conducted. The affected membrane was cut back, and a new strip of polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
membrane was heat welded to the existing base flashing and glued to the wall over the roofing vapor
barrier. A bead of Sika Sarnafil Sika-Flex is gun applied to the top edge of the membrane and struck in.
It is our understanding that this repair method will be conducted at similar areas on the stair tower.

Discussion Items
16.1 Metal Panel in Contact with Roof Membrane - Part C and D, East and West Elevations, Stair Towers -
The LYMO 2000 ACM panels installed up and over the parapet are in contact with the polyvinyl
chloride roof membrane. Some areas exhibit wear on the membrane from the raw edge metal. The
panels should be cut back to allow for expansion and contraction without contact with the roofing
membrane to avoid further damage and potential leaks. (Figures 11, 12)
