WORK IN PROGRESS: 1) Drywall taping and painting 2) Classroom casework installation 3) Classroom Linoleum flooring installation 4) Millwork installation 5) Tile installation 6) Ceiling framing; ceiling installation 7) Completion of MEP/FP rough-in 8) MEP/FP finish work 9) Interior painting 10) Air barrier installation 11) Curtain wall silicone sealing 12) GFRC panel installation and prep (girt/ insulation installation) 13) ACM panel installation and prep (girt/insulation installation) 14) Site work 15) Irrigation installation FIELD OBSERVATIONS: PE visited the site on Thursday 08-25, to review ongoing progress. Interior Items 1. RTUs for Area D were started up earlier this week. 2. Linoleum flooring installation At Area D is ongoing 3. H. Carr will be installing marker boards starting tomorrow, beginning with Area D. 4. At Area D, epoxy and SSM casework counter tops have been installed; ceiling installation is almost complete in the classrooms and 80% in the corridors. 5. Millwork installation at Area C is ongoing. 6. At Area C, finished ceiling installation is underway, installation of portals at levels 1 and 2 is complete. 7. At Area C, Casework installation is ongoing; corridor tile at Area C is complete. 8. At Area B central commons area, the walls are finished and primed and ready for finishes; at the time of observation Colony was taping the locker room ceilings. 9. O’Byrne is in the process of painting the stair metal in the academic wings. 10. O’Byrne is painting the south side gymnasium steel / MEP (See photo on page 3), as well as the overhead mechanicals etc. in adaptive PE; the HM doors for the gym area have been painted. 11. At Area A the auditorium ceiling is mostly complete and the staging for the work platform is being dismantled. See photo on page 3. 12. At area A, Above-ceiling MEP work is ongoing at the cafeteria and kitchen— at the kitchen it is almost complete and ready for ceiling installation. REPORT BY: ABH Page 2 of 4 Exterior items: 1. Curtain wall water penetration resistance testing and air leakage testing was conducted on 8-22-22 (see attached RJK field report FR-18). 2. At the time of observation, Lymo had removed the damaged panels at the parapet of the SW link structure (see “prior item” 8112 below). 3. At the time of observation, Lymo had finished prepping the east façade of Area A and was installing the ACM at the SE corner of the auditorium (Area A). See photo below. 4. At the time of observation, Beacon was installing the silicone tape to seal the CW at the curtain wall at the media center (south side of Area B). 5. Per RJK, on 8-22 Beacon installed patches for the holes in the silicone transition sheets at cafeteria CW openings where damaged by Stanley (see attached RJK field report FR-18). 6. At the time of observation, Stanley was in the process of replacing the sheet metal window surrounds for the large curtain wall openings at the cafetorium. See photo on page 4. Site work: 1. RBO’s subcontractor partially installed the concrete walkways east of D earlier in the week. See photo page 4. 2. RBO installed the scoreboard for field B yesterday. 3. RBO is working on the west side of D wing spreading loam and prepping subgrade and forms for the sidewalks. 4. At the time of observation RBO’s subcontractor was cutting relief joints in the concrete sidewalks on the north and east of field C; the Station Avenue sidewalk has been paved. See photo page 4. 5. Work Observed • Air Barrier Installation • Curtain Wall Testing Observations • Part A, North Elevation, Grid Line K - Elbex HS-222 silicone transition sheet was damaged during installation of metal at the edge of the Rieder Öko Skin high performance cementitious wall panels. Patches set in sealant were being installed to create a continuous barrier around the curtain walls. (Figures 1, 2) Curtain Wall Testing • Part D, West Elevation, Grid Lines D2, C-B.4, C29 Curtain Wall at Exit 39 - Testing was conducted by UTS to check for air and water leakage. The water penetration resistance testing was performed in accordance with ASTM E 1105: “Test Method for Field Determination of Water Penetrations of Installed Exterior Windows, Skylights, Doors, and Curtain Walls, By Uniform or Cyclical Static Air Pressure Difference”. The curtain wall was first tested for air leakage and then water leakage. A total of two tests were conducted on the curtain wall unit. Air testing was conducted at 6.24 psf and water testing was conducted at 6.24 psf. The unit passed air and water testing. (Figures 4 - 6) • Part C, West Elevation, Grid Lines ii, E, C28 Curtain Wall - Testing was conducted by UTS to check for air and water leakage. The affect membrane was cut back, and a new strip of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane heat welded to the existing base flashing and then glued to the wall over the roofing vapor barrier. A bead of Sika Sarnafil Sika-Flex is gun applied to the top edge of the membrane and struck in. It is our understanding that this repair method will be conducted at similar areas on the stair tower.
