parapet walls in various locations. Angle metal was installed wet set in sealant and fastened utilizing
screws. The panels were then installed fastened to the angles utilizing screws. A concealed plate is
installed at seams with each panel set in sealant at the plate. (Figures 11 - 13)
Discussion Items
• Damaged and Unsealed Prefabricated Pipe Flashing - South B, Low Roof, Grid Lines B26.5, N.6 - A
prefabricated pipe flashing is compressed, and the sealant applied around the top is unadhered. It
appears the flashing was not set in sealant and there was no clamping ring installed. Clean the areas, fix
the flashing, apply sealant under the top flange and install a clamping ring. (Figures 14, 15)
• Roof Membrane Damage - Part C, East, Grid Lines C19, G - Two areas of damage are marked in black
lumber crayon. Repair per the manufacturer’s requirements. (Figures 16 - 18)
• Open Pipe Penetrations - Part C, East, Grid Lines C20, F.5 - A pipe penetration is not sealed, leaving an
entrance for moisture to infiltrate into the roof assembly and the building. Detail the pipe per the
manufacturer’s requirements. (Figures 16, 19, 20)
