The invoice is dated AUG 2021. The pictures are of the installed shed I would assume. Therefore it was not applied for and does not meet our requirements for a shed. They paid about $2364 (which is cheap). Maybe they can give it to a friend outside of the historic district. Here are his comments: • They don't allow T-111 plywood in the historic district. (it's plywood with grooves cut into it every 5-6 inches. The grooves are 3/8 inch wide and invite woodpeckers because the underlying layers of plywood have gaps and invite insects) • They want a simple roof with a 7/12 pitch. The roof shingles should match the house • The maximum square footage for a Certificate of Exemption is 120 square feet; if the shed is larger, it requires a Certificate of Appropriateness • He would like to see a properly designed shed with proper specifications I'm sure you could work with a company that builds sheds and have them come up with a shed that meets your needs and has the features required by the OKH. Most of the companies in the area that build sheds are familiar with the OKH standards and can help you find something that will work for you and be approved by OKH. Otherwise delete this email. texture 111 is a plywood with groves cut into it about every 5 or 6 inches. The groves are about 3/8 inch wide. It is very plain looking and is susceptable to wood pecker damage since the underlying layers of plywood have gaps that invite insects.
