HomeMy WebLinkAbout4984 Conservation Commission Memo 09.14.22 T O W N O F Y A R M O U T H 1146 ROUTE 28, SOUTH YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS 02664-4492 Telephone (508) 398-2231, Ext. 1288, Fax (508) 398-2365 MEMO To: Board of Appeals Fr: Brittany DiRienzo Conservation Administrator Re: Board of Appeals Meeting September 22, 2022 Date: September 14, 2022 ________________________________________________________________________ PETITION #4984: 2 Buttercup Lane At their June 16th, 2022 meeting, the Conservation Commission continued the Notice of Intent Hearing from 2/17/2022, 3/2/2022, 3/17/2022, 4/7/2022, 4/21/2022, 5/5/2022, and 5/19/2022 for a raze and replace of a single family dwelling with new septic, landscaping and mitigation within the riverfront area, buffer zone a coastal bank, and buffer zone to and salt marsh. At the hearing, Wayne Tavares described all the changes that were requested from the previous meeting. These changes included a description of mitigated areas and plants, the fact that the house itself is smaller in square footage and is outside the 35-foot buffer zone, and that several dead trees will be removed with hollies being planted in their place. DEP commented and spelled out two conditions (see letter on file). He stated that the current structure is uninhabitable, the septic system will be upgraded, and everything is being removed from the no-build zone.
