Interior Items 1. Linoleum flooring is being installed in area D corridors. 2. Wood door installation is almost complete in D. 3. H. Carr is installing wood slat ceilings at level 1; grid is installed for felt slat ceilings on both levels in D. 4. At the time of observation Wright had finished installing the radiused wood portals at the cross-corridor terminations in D, and were moving on to portals in Area C (see photo on page 4);. 5. The classroom casework At Area D is complete except for the the sink installation clips and completion of sink installation. 6. Walker has installed the folding partition in classrooms D210-D212 (see photo on page 3);. 7. Installation of mirrors and grab bars in D is scheduled to begin next week according to CB. 8. Installation of millwork and casework at Area C are both still ongoing. 9. Linoleum flooring in Area C classrooms is almost complete. 10. At area B, Arden et al are still doing above-ceiling MEP work on level 2. 11. Installation of the gymnasium accessories by Walker Specialties is complete. 12. Epoxy flooring in the locker areas in B is ongoing. 13. H Carr’s ceiling installation in B level 1 is ongoing, as is millwork installation by Wright. The window trim at the admin area was being installed at the time of observation. 14. Walker has installed the power lifts for the storage lofts at the auditorium (area A). 15. Drywall taping in the auditorium is still ongoing (see photo on page 3.). 16. Colony is in the process of installing drywall at the auditorium lobby (see photo on page 4.). REPORT BY: ABH Page 2 of 4 Exterior items: 1. Beacon has substantially finished caulking the sealant joints between the brick and metal panel at the links and at the gymnasium. (see figure 8 in attached RJK report FR-20) 2. Envelope cladding is nearing completion. At the time of observation Lymo was installing ACM panels at upper part of the high parapet between buildings A and B (see figure 3 in attached RJK report FR-21), as well as on the roof side of the same parapet 3. Lymo is continuing to install ACM panels at the west part of the main entry canopy. 4. Oko skin “formpart” outside corners are now all complete (see photo on page 3). Site work: 1. At the time of observation RBO’s subcontractor was continuing to install the playground equipment (see photo in attached TLA report K1008-17), 2. Installation of the first athletic field light posts is commencing 3. RBO’s subcontractor completed the colored aggregate pour in the south courtyard (B-C courtyard (see attached TLA site report K1008-17). 4. At the time of observation RBO’s subcontractor was in the process of pouring the sidewalk on the west side of the music wing. 5. Tree Planting by EA Quinn is ongoing in various areas of the site. (see photo on page 3). 6. At the time of observation, RBO was continuing to prep the front plaza area for concrete, and was commencing the installation of soil “mounds” at the planting areas (see attached TLA report K1008-17). DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS New items 9201. Ceiling height issue at wood “arches” in C and D. In certain instances in Area D and C, mainly at level 2, the ceiling grid for the felt slat ceilings (at the “link” connector crossings) are being set too low. 9’-0” is design height to underside of typ.slats and it appears up to 5” lower than that). PE asked if the grids there can be raised (or, failing that, if the wood arches can be re-set at a lower height so they are not floating the basic ceiling plane). See photo on page 4. 9202. Line of Black “structural deck” paint. PE pointed out that--although it was done by O’Byne exactly according to PE’s own direction, the horizontal line on the wall where the black ceiling paint starts (around the ceiling clouds in the link corridors in Area D), established too high (with 20-20 hindsight). PE asked if the paint line could be lowered to align with the top of the ceiling cloud edge trim, so that the side wall duct and pipe penetrations are completely in the “black zones,” so as to hide them better. (see photo on page 4).. Prior items 9151. (from 9-15 site report) Unprotected return at the auditorium seventh tier. Still open. PE issued a supplementary detail for a metal guard as part of Bulletin 44 9152. (from 9-15 site report) Finish at the short faces of the arched portals. Still open 9081. (from 9-08 site report) Gap at the west elevation. Still open. 9082. (from 9-08 site report) Grading at PCC base. Still open. 8183. (from 8-18 site report) Shot put concrete curb in wrong location: Still open. 8111. (from 8-11 site report) Water filling station at Level 2. Still open 8112. (from 8-11 site report) Metal in contact with roof membrane. Closed per CB—to be verified. 7191. (from 07 19 site report) Exterior Sealant at brick pattern at inside link corner. still open 4211.
