WORK IN PROGRESS: 1) Drywall finishing 2) Classroom casework installation 3) Linoleum flooring installation 4) Tack board and marker board installation 5) Millwork installation 6) Ceiling framing; ceiling installation 7) MEP/FP finish work—light fixtures etc. 8) Interior painting 9) Overhead door installation 10) Stage rigging installation 11) ACM panel punch list 12) Exterior Aluminum Door installation 13) Site work FIELD OBSERVATIONS: PE visited the site on Thursday 10-06, to review ongoing progress. Interior Items 1. Linoleum flooring installation is ongoing in the Area D first floor corridors (see Figure 11). 2. H. Carr is still installing the wood wall panels in the second floor collaboration areas in Area D (see Figure 2); they are also in the process of installing the felt slat ceilings in Areas D and C (see Figures 1 and 9) . 3. J. Cohn is installing 3x3 tile floors in the east connectors on level 2. 4. Installation of mirrors and grab bars is ongoing in C. 5. At Area B Pavillion is installing the polished concrete topping slab in the Mattacheese school entry/lobby area; the polished concrete at the kitchen servery area had been partially installed at the time of observation (see Figure 4). 6. Wood floor installation in the gymnasium is ongoing; subfloor installation has been completed. 7. Installation of toilet and changing stall partitions is complete. 8. Above-ceiling MEP work is ongoing at the admin area (Area B). 9. Installation of custom millwork is ongoing –currently Wright is focusing on the Cafetorium and Media Center; at the time of observation they were also installing the wall panels at the front walls of the cafetorium and auditorium (see Figure 7). 10. Classroom casework installation is ongoing—currently working in the music wing (Area A). 11. At the time of observation Walker was installing the glass folding door at the auditorium stage (see Figure 5). 12. H. Carr has completed the enclosures supporting the acoustical wall panels on the south wall of the auditorium. Exterior items: 1. At the time of observation Lambrian was installing the aluminum exterior doors in Area C. They have nearly finished installing mullion caps at curtain wall type C3 (auditorium lobby corridor). REPORT BY: ABH Page 2 of 5 2. The exterior envelope cladding is nearing completion. At the time of observation roof bulkheads and back parapets had been completed and Lymo was substantially finished with their cladding work (see Figure 13). Site work: 1. At the time of observation, RBO was installing bollards at the east side of the gymnasium. 2. The ‘sprintturf’ installer is in the process of putting down the synthetic turf at field B. 3. Installation of landscaping in the two main courtyards appears complete; landscaping work by EA Quinn is ongoing elsewhere around the site. 4. Playground equipment installation is done except for delayed items (see Figure 12). 5. At the time of observation, RBO had installed the the soil “mounds” at the front entry plaza and was continuing to prep for walkway and pavement installation there (see Figure 13). DISCREPANCIES, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS New items 10061. Furring at Room A120. PE observed that the back wall of the Staff Lunch room was missing the Gyp furring layer that is indicated in wall type M08D. 10062. Sight line issues to deck at Media Center central circulation area (see Figure 8). PE discussed with CB and proposed to add opaque covering above the wood coffers to close off above-ceiling views. H. Carr suggested 1/8” acrylic panels, and CB agreed to price. 10063. Sight line issues to deck at type 2.1 (felt slat) ceilings in the C and D corridors (see Figure 1); PE issued a revision to add black ceiling tile above the grid to close off above-ceiling views at the east and west edges of these ceilings (see Bulletin #47). 10064. Corner Trim at Rulon wall panels. PE noted the lack of a corner trim detail for the rulon wall panels (equivalent to PE’s detail 18/A-5.41 for the ceiling panel trim). PE issued a new corner trim detail to make the edges of the wall panels and ceiling panels align (see Bulletin #47). 10065. Exit sign junction box excessively low. PMA/PE asked CB to ask the electrical contractor to raise the junction box for the exit sign at the type 2.1 ceiling (Area D). See Figure 9. 10066. Lowering ceiling at cafetorium. PE was told that the MEP rough-in placements will force the auditorium ceiling down by 11 inches relative to design height, without recourse. PE issued a drawing in Bulletin #47 to add film at the top 24” of the 2nd floor windows into the cafetorium so as to hide views above the wood ceiling. 10067. Sidewall duct at Wixon media center entrance. PE is asking O’Byrne to re-paint the one low black sidewall duct above the door so that it is white below the arrow in Figure 10 (so that it will be less obtrusive once the felt slat ceiling is installed.) Prior items 9291. (from 9-29 site report) Archway at cafetorium entrance: Updates: 1. PE issued a drawing lowering the head of the portal (Bulletin #47). 2. PE discussed with CB and asked if Rustic could lower or reconfigure pipe shown in figure 3 so that for H.Carr’s purposes it is at 9’-7” and would not force ceiling slats down. 9292. (from 9-29 site report) The light grey accent wall paint in some classrooms in D looks splotchy; Still open 9293. (from 9-29 site report) De-fillibrator (AED) recess. Update: PE relocated the AED device in order to avoid the electrical device (see Bulletin #47) 9294. (from 9-29 site report) RFI #441- cafetorium stage rigging conflict (9-29) Still open 9201. (from 9-20 site report) Ceiling height issue at wood “arches” in C and D Update: Wood Portals are going to remain as designed (to avoid cost) - Item to be closed. 9202. Factory outside corner panels were installed and fastened utilizing clips to the horizontal sheet metal hat channel. (Figure 2) • Part A, East Elevation, Gridlines R - Q, Second Floor - ACM panels are installed in the curtain wall assembly. A framing structure was installed, set in sealant against the glazed aluminum panels and the angled ACM panels. The panels are installed to the curtain wall framing and fastened utilizing a pressure bar. (Figures 3 - 5) • Part C, East Elevation, Grid Lines C22, G - F.5, Second Floor - Rieder Öko Skin high performance cementitious wall panels were installed and are fastened to the horizontal galvanized hat channel with color matched screws. (Figure 6, Figure 7) • Part B, Grid Lines L - M.5, B17 - B21, Upper Roof - Walk pad was installed on the roofing membrane in high traffic areas, adhered with Sika Sarnafil Sarnacol 2170 VC Membrane Adhesive. The walk pad was folded back and glue was rolled applied to the back of the membrane and to the top of the field membrane. The adhesive was allowed to become tacky to the touch and the walk pad was set into place. The laps were to be heat welded following adhesion.
