It has come to our attention that this project has been completed without the required Permits or inspections being performed. This is a violation of section R105.1 of the Massachusetts State Building Code. 105.1 Required.It shall be unlawful to construct, reconstruct, alter, repair, remove or demolish a building or structure; or to change the use or occupancy of a building or structure; or to install or alter any equipment for which provision is made or the installation of which is regulated by this code without first filing a written application with the building official and obtaining the required permit. It has also come to our attention that this Structure is being occupied without a valid certificate of occupancy. R111.1 Use and Occupancy. "No building or structure shall be used or occupied, and no change in the existing occupancy classification of a building or structure or portion thereof shall be made until the building commissioner, or inspector of buildings, or when applicable, the state inspector, has issued a certificate of occupancy therefore as provide herein." A Cease-and-Desist order has been placed on this property due to the lack of a valid certificate of occupancy.Anyone occupying this structure is subject to fines as allowed by MGL 143 section 91. Failure to comply with the MA State Building code 780 CMR is subject to fines and penalties as prescribed in MGL CH 143 section 91.Each day constitutes a new violation. To remedy this violation,apply for proper and inspections.You are required to respond within 7 days of this letter. An addition to building #8 requires relief from the Zoning Board Appeals, expansion of preexisting Per 104.3.2#4,as well has building,plumbing,electric permits. 3. A renovation to building#6 lower level which was the old wood shop,now has bathrooms installed within this area,which all require permits electrical,plumbing,building.permits must be applied for and approved per 780 CMR and appendant codes. 4. Building#5&7 have been resided and requires building permits per 780 CMR and appendant codes 5. Several buildings (6)had new tankless hot water heaters installed,without require permits, plumbing, gas, electrical.Permits are required per 280 CMR&527 CMR 6.
