Dear ZBA Members,
I am attaching a Newsletter from the Village Green Motel sent March 2022. I would like you
to read the letter in its entirety because we need you to understand how vitally important it is
to keep this motel a motel, and not 100% Employee Seasonal Housing. After reading the
Newsletter, it is our hope that you will understand what an integral part of our neighborhood
the Village Green Motel is and always has been.
I apologize for the fuzzy print- It's the best I could do while copying the Newsletter for
inclusion. Please also see the attached photographs of how the Motel looked when the Hart's
were running it. It's a shocking change to what it looks like now!
Please pay particular attention to the first paragraph - I will retype it here :
By now the news has spread far and wide. After 30 wonderful years, we are letting go of our
beloved Village Green. With heavy hearts, we sold the old girl and closed our doors on
December 23, 2021. Yet there is a silver lining. The new owners, Lee and Fulya Tunlya, are a
lovely couple who are looking forward to continuing our tradition of excellence and warm
hospitality. They will of course put their own proud signature on the motel. Who
wouldn't? Everyone has their own ideas on creating a successful business. That's how it
should be. If this couple's personalities are any indication, we think you'll be pleased with the
results.
The new owners intend to keep the www.vgreenmotel.com website for now. Through the
website they hope to provide regular updates on their plans and progress. They will soon be
taking reservations through the website..."
