Dear Zoning Board of Appeals, my name is Luanne Kiley, 126 Seaview Ave. I work at the
Dennis Yarmouth Regional School District in the Administration Office. My family has owned this
property since 1942, it was always my Cape home growing up. I relocated here in September 2015.
To say that I know the seasonal routine of this neighborhood inside and out would be an
understatement. This past summer had me very concerned with safety and occupancy load.
The amount of cars parked at the Village Green was over capacity. Every spot was taken up and then
some - cars parked all along the fence that borders the Skipper Restaurant all day and all night. I've
never seen so many cars on Seaside Village Road. I also didn't realize "seasonal employees" had
cars - as many of them bike or walk to work - so this was hard to understand. Who are these people?
Not J1 students. Who monitors the room occupancy now that its not a motel? It appeared no one was
in control of any of it.
I drive home from work along South Shore Drive - this was a challenge! There was so much foot &
car traffic at the opening of Seaside Village Road that I literally had to stop my car several times as I
tried to pass, and no, it wasn't 4th of July crowds. It was an ongoing, nightly occurrence. Wall to wall
people and cars in an already small, congested Motel & Restaurant parking lot = recipe for disaster.
I wholeheartedly agree with my neighbors' letters. Please consider this neighborhood's dynamic. This
is not the place or more specifically the space for this sort of endeavor.
Sincerely,
Luanne Kiley
