intention of that Board to amend the Special Permit to allow a retirement condominium village at
Heatherwood for the active elder! There was no request for or mention of assisted living units to
the Board of Appeals. It is submitted that "active elderly living"cannot be construed to mean"assisted living". This is a residential condominium community and we object to the possibility of a
commercial enterprise operating within our residential development.
(2) Heatherwood is surrounded by attached single and multi-family condominium
residences and a 68 unit assisted living complex would create a highly undesirable and unsafe
amount of internal traffic as a result of turnover, staffing, guests, medical and emergency personnel
and vehicles. We submit that there is insufficient parking and are concerned about their laundry
needs which may overtax our waste treatment facilities.

Re: Special Permit Modification —Petition #2268
