DAILY FIELD REPORT PROJECT: Proposed FedEx Distribution Facility FIELD REPORT NO: 26 PAGE 1 OF 3 PROJECT NO: Z486.01 DATE: 12/07/22 LOCATION: 225 White’s Path, South Yarmouth, MA CLIENT: 225 White’s Path Units 2 and 3, LLC WEATHER: Cloudy/Rain, 32-39 ºF CONTRACTOR(S): DellbrookǀJKS; C.C. Construction, Inc. 1. Mackenzie Meschwitz arrived on site at 0700 hours. Left site at 1030 hours. 2. Earthwork equipment: A) One Volvo L120H Loader B) One Bomag 50/55D Reversible Vibratory Plate Compactor C) One Caterpillar 335F Excavator D) One CASE SV216 Single Drum Vibratory Roller 3. Earthwork observed: A) Earthwork operations continued within the proposed northerly and southerly concrete ramp areas along the westerly side of the building today (see attached Figure No. 1 – Site Sketch and Photo Log). C.C. Construction had previously placed an approximately 12± inch thick lift of imported base course fill within the northerly ramp area up to proposed bottom-of-concrete elevations (39± to 42± feet) along the length of the proposed ramp (refer to Field Report No. 24 for additional information). During today’s earthwork activities, C.C. Construction placed an approximately 12± inch thick lift of imported base course fill, generally representative of sample no. FS-3, over the previously placed and compacted ramp backfill up to proposed bottom-of-concrete pavement elevations (39± to 42± feet) along the length of the proposed southerly ramp. The base course fill generally consisted of dark grayish brown, fine to coarse SAND, some fine to coarse Gravel, and trace Silt. C.C. Construction compacted the base course fill within the two ramp areas with about 6 passes of the reversible vibratory plate compactor and the vibratory drum roller. The base course fill appeared firm and stable under the vibratory action of the compactors. The undersigned performed Field Density Test (FDT) nos. 168 through 175 on the compacted base course fill (see attached Figure No. 1 – Site Sketch for the approximate test locations). The test results indicated that a satisfactory compaction percentage was achieved at each test location. Refer to the Summary of Field Density Tests sheet on page 3 of this report for additional information.
